PRICE: £16'500

54’000 Miles, 11 months MOT, 2007

I bought this car in January 2014 with a view to it being a special occasion car and to be kept forever! However, I now have 2 young children and a weekly 100 mile motorway journey which has forced the decision to sell.

It took a few of months of looking with the help of the members of this forum to find this car. This one has been enthusiast owned with full service history and a few nice updates such as the now rare aero side skirts and cup holders. Wear items such as the gear knob have also been replaced with new.

The last major service was completed at 51’350 by a well known specialist. At the time, I had the Vanos filter and brake fluid replaced for piece of mind. They also provided me with a copy of the valve clearance report.

Rear brake disks, pads and sensors and front pads & sensors replaced within the last 1000 miles.

Recent front bumper refresh.

The options list is as follows :
Individual Midnight Blue Metallic
Individual Champagne Leather
Individual Piano black trim
Extended leather
Sat Nav
DSP hifi
Cruise control
Bluetooth hands free
Cup Holders
Heated seats
Electric Folding mirrors
Parking distance control
Aero side skirts
6 CD Changer

The general condition of the car is excellent and I’m fussy. The car has been warmed up before putting the engine under any load and only filled with premium fuel.
It’s cleaned by a trusted local valeter every 2 weeks and the wax is removed and replaced every few months.

For complete disclosure, there are a couple of points which the new owner might consider but haven’t bothered me. 2 of the wheels have a small area of lacquer flaked off - about 3 cm square.
When I bought the car, it was in need of a front bumper paint refresh and the front lower grill had been cracked. On close inspection, it seems the owner had collected a rabbit (a small bone was left behind!) The bumper was inspected by my local BMW dealer who advised that the fixing points had been stretched. I took the decision to replace the bumper and have it repainted at BMW at cost of £2000 (I said I was fussy). This work is under warranty. As you would expect, the front end is now immaculate. However 2 days after collection I hit a box on the motorway which has scratched the lower fang. This may machine polish out or require smart repair if the new owner feels it’s needed.

It seems that good examples of these rare cars are appreciating, which makes the ownership proposition a bit of a no brainer.

Stunning colour combo 8)
That'll be a really nice buy for someone and I agree, definitely under priced in the current market. I expect a dealer to contact you sharpish.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It would clearly be my preference to sell to a forum member or at least a genuine enthusiast. It has been a challenge setting the price since the market is so volatile, but the price is intended to be reasonable as I'm motivated to upgrade the family wagon. I recently bought another fairly specialist car and despite not wanting to p/x I was offered close to the sale price, so it seems fair for a forum member.

It will be advertised elsewhere at a more suitable price.

A gorgeous example of Mness in a coupe form  very very nice combo & a good bit under what a dealer would be wanting

Yep, Carbon Black and midnight blue are very similar in low lights, of course when the sun is out, you can see the differences.

SOLD to another enthusiast today. Thanks again for all the input chaps and apologies to any enquirers I didn't get around to responding to. I'll be back :D
