Let me be the first to say that is a cracking looking car with brilliant spec... I'm looking for a 3.0 and that ticks virtually every box except the missus wont let me have 2x Z4's on the drive

Good luck with sale-

Cracker.....

What no roads in Portugal?
Keep her, she is a credit to you.........
Pack up your stuff in a truck and drive down in the Z.

:driving:

Thanks Bigwinn, and Mikopop I do love the car but it’s just not practical to take it to Portugal, cost circa £15k to put Portuguese plates on it, as you can’t have UK car in Portugal for more than 6 months.

Here are some internal photos I could not put on my first advert/post

Hi,

Message sent!

Hmmm. Not sure whats going on. Ive sent you a message but its stuck in outbox rather than the sent folder so im not sure if its gone....

Anyway, im interested in the car, so do please message me to discuss. Thanks.

Hi Ratcatcher
Yes I have got your message thanks, I will send you the service book photos later. I don’t think that you can attach photos to private messages so I will put the photos in the main thread as others might like to see them as well.
I have had same problem before with messages stuck in outbox, but discovered that it didn’t mean that they hadn’t been sent just that they had not been read by the recipient

Have just posted the service book photos

Cheers
Mark

A common source of confusion :)

A message sitting in the 'Outbox' just means your recipient has not yet read it - it doesn't mean it hasn't been sent (yes I agree, it got me confused too!)

Just FYI, I think messages remain showing in your Outbox until the recipient opens them.

Edit: Ah, beaten to it!

This looks fantastic!

Great spec, brilliant wheels and some useful maintenance / additions.

Also very close to me........

The question for me is, whilst undoubtedly this is a great example, do you add a few extra pounds and go for the Si?

If this was £3000 or £7000 it would be an easy decision either way but this is harder.

It does look stunning though.

I don’t think a £5k si is going to be in the same condition as this car.

I don’t think so either.

My point is do you go for a very nice and well sorted version of this or save a little more for an Si (assuming also in good condition)?

I have had 2 x 3.0i and loved them but always thought a 3.0Si should be next.

However, this car makes you think twice!!

Hi,
This looks a cracking example of a 3.0l e85.

Couple of quick questions:

1) Is this still available?
2) The footwell and boot lighting - are you able to change the bulbs/ dim the blue - in the photos, it looks quite bright.
3) Was anything called out on the recent MOT?
4) Being new to buying a 2nd hand e85 - you have moved the roof motor to the boot - was this because water had gathered where the old motor was? If so, is there any residual water damage?

Thanks,
Jezz Bennett

Hi Jezz
To answer your questions
Yes it is available
I put the blue mood lights in the boot and footwell. They are very easy to change, hey just plug in, not sure if I have the original white ones I will check. They are not anywhere as bright as they look in the photos.
The MOT this week haD 2 advisory’s. The white boot brake light is only showing half the LED’s, the centre bit is not lighting but the two side bits are, shown as a minor defect. Also very easy to change, I changed the boot brake light, from red to white on my last Z4. There is an advisory, monitor and repair if necessary, service brake fluctuating but not excessively near side front.
The roof motor has been moved to the boot as a precaution with no residual water damage.
Obviously the MOT issues can be discussed as part of the price negotiation.
Any more questions please do not hesitate to ask .
Mark

Thanks Mark for the speedy reponse.

Couple of additional questions:

1) Does the car have auto lights?
2) Is the Gaptech module for opening and closing the roof with key fob done via the normal BMW key or a seperate fob?
3) Are you around tomorrow (25th) for me to come and take a look? First thing?
4) How many owners has the car had?
) How complete is the service history?

Thanks again.
