*SOLD* 2006 Black Sapphire 3.0Si Sport Roadster

Ok, quick update - I'll be away for the weekend on rugby tour, so if anyone posts or messages me interested in the car there may be a delay... I think being on the forum, or trying to sell my car whilst on tour may be a heavily fine-able offence

I'll try to at least acknowledge contact, can't promise it will be too coherent as there's a good chance I'll be pissed if it's between 0830 tomorrow and sometime Sunday morning :P

I am amazed this is still for sale. The price seems fair. Is it because its an auto? If not I just dont get it???

Not sure a Stug. Perhaps folk are waiting to see what the Insp 2 throws up, though I'm very confident it'll not need anything additional to the service items. Or perhaps it being an auto is indeed putting some off - it does limit my addressable market somewhat, as you'd expect. However both guys who have driven it have been surprised by how good it is - Mick even said he preferred it to the manual.

I did a quick price check today & it's still pretty much the cheapest 3.0si Sports available - there's dealer cars with almost as much mileage and fewer options for up to £2k more, so I don't think it's unreasonably priced. When you factor in the new rear rubber plus the service being done then that's £590 the buyer doesn't have to worry about, and of course it's taxed until February next year which is another plus over a dealer car. So there's over £800 that doesn't need paid, and lots of work completed - absolutely nothing to do except drive it off into the sunset :driving:

Feels like longer but it's only been for sale a week, so I'm not stressing - just impatient to relieve pvr of his 8)

Saturday night (actually Sunday morning) bump for those coming in from the pub.

C'mon, what could be a better thing to do after a few wee drinkies than to buy a car...

Right, back from tour, pretty much sober :P

Car goes in for it's Insp 2 tomorrow at 8am - I shall report back with the results once it's done.

It's Easter week, the weather looks great and I'm off until the 22nd. This is your best chance to get a good look at the car, so if you're interested drop me a PM

Service bump - Inspection 2 completed today, no non-service items required

Only note was a cracked windscreen. Again. Being fixed Thursday this week, unfortunately it won't have a BMW screen anymore :( ... But it will have BMW seals :)

The car is going on Autotrader this evening, PH too if I have the time.

What an awesome car to sell Bing  I would have thought a few would have tried to sell it well in advance of the Inspection 2 service...it will be a great buy for someone the attention to detail you show to it is very commendable...I just wished PVR had looked after his in the same vein as you!! :poke:

Thanks guys - I considered selling in February but didn't... Even then, I would have had the rear tyres on my old 108s sorted and had it serviced too if a buyer had wanted it done. As it is it has been done 500 miles earlier than the service indicator. If it was being px'd then maybe I'd have taken a different approach, but the car is now sorted for private sale*. New oil, filters and plugs - might just be a halo effect but it felt much smoother on the wee drive into town and back out again.

*with the exception of ding work previously noted, and windscreen replacement on Thursday. Feckin' sh1te roads :x

Inkey$ - awesome new sig pic

The car is now on Autotrader - the price in this thread has become a Forum Brucie Bonus

Feckin' Autotrader appears to have 'optimised' my photos and they look rubbish though :x

Sunny Easter Week morning bump - days like this I can't wait to get out and about with the roof down 8) :driving:

Nice ad, but see what you mean about the pics, on my phone some of the reflections in that stunning paintwork look like chips/scuffs :-(

I don't know wtf has happened - they are the same ones as on here, not exactly low-res. I'll clean the car and see if I can take some more tomorrow on mega-res... Maybe the problem is they are too high res already ? I'll also try to find a place that doesn't have too many things to reflect - though that may have to be in orbit, as it's so shiny 8)

Going to do a PH ad this evening too

I also did the bolster today - looks good so far, amazing what some patience can do.

You'll probably get better results with the photos if you scale them yourself and adjust the palette for web display rather than let the crappy Autotrader algorithms do the job - if you haven't got decent editing software, let me know and I'll sort them in photoshop for you

:slaphead:

Should've thought of that - I do it when uploading to Photobucket anyway. Cheers Perry
