Soft top cars .......have I missed something?

You haven't experienced roof down driving until you've driven on a sunny, crisp, winters morning.

Yeah, or a clear winter's night under the stars with the heaters blazing. What a feeling.

Even if it's raining you can keep the top down. Just don't stop.

Years ago I saw th Morgan owners club at their Christmas bash - a very cold December night but they were all appropriately dressed.

Dinner jackets, Black tie, flying helmets and all with the tops down!

If its dry the tops down, been in Wales in winter -5, silly hat, heated seats , great,
On the othrr hand just got back from a 4000ml jaunt round europe an had to put the top up at Sondrio italy, when the temp hit 39.5 an mi brain was melting, then passing thro Benedorm last friday 38 deg, and finally going thro calais on monday, didnt want any of them pesky migrants trying to jump into mi Zed,.lol

I drive through Brixton with the roof up on the way home from work. Not sure why I do though since the soft top isn't bullet proof

I like to get my top down as often as possible. But recently here in France we have had a heat wave. Up in the late 30's for weeks. I have to say it was just too bleeding hot to run with the roof down. Especially as I am now a bit lacking in the hair department. I hate the sun beating down on top of my barnet. Also, top up ,aircon on max. No sticky steering.

As long as it stays like that - I'm headed off to Germany and the Netherlands mid August - knowing my luck it will change.

All of this. Did 1,000km back from Switzerland recently, top down the whole way. Bit blowy at times, but we were treated to this on our return to Kent. Glorious.

Last month I did 850 ish miles overnight from dordogne to nurburg via Heilbronn for a re map , sorry it was in a slk , i never saw less than 21 degrees , driving back to France it was 45 degrees on the motorway , I did consider putting the roof up but realised the air con didn't work so I toughed it out and did the trip roof down , I'm from the north east originally , I'm used to being dressed in a t shirt in inappropriate weather !
Ten hours to get there and eight back , roof down all the way , kept me awake and topped up my tan as a bonus .
Return journey to England was interrupted twice by showers but anything over 60 and it's fine , apart from the ore drivers looking at you like your a moron

We are fair weather Zedders, so if the car comes out the roof is always down. That really is the point of owning such a roadster isn't it?
