You missed quite the trip Rosie. It was simply amazing being in that line of z4's. I loved every minute of the trip. I can't wait for the next one. I'll for a Vegas one, since that is now my backyard
I loved the slalom and high speed runs. I just wish I could of seen a Z go offroading. I bet it would be impressive.

Impressive driving though. Did I mention I liked the slalom? I can't wait to do one of these again.
It was a cold drive up the mountain. My ears were quite numb when we pulled in at the lake. It was pretty sweet driving in the wet/snowy/cold weather as that technically was my Z4's virgin run. I say technically cause IMO there needs to be more snow for me to consider the car uhm popped

The turns we had to take though kept my blood pumping good while going up the mountain. Down was a bit slow, but it wasn't as if we could push those SUV's off the side of the mountain. The slaloms...wow, I can see myself doing that at my work parking lot just without the cones  The high speed run was fun. The best I managed was 140mph maybe a mile or so. I like to think it was 140 anyways (according to the speedo-so probably way less than that). An boy, the people. Ya'll were the best part of the run. I was nervous about meeting so many people, but ya'll did great at welcoming me in. I can't wait to drive again with ya'll.
As far as spots here in Vegas, Lake Mead would probably be the best area. Lots of twisties there though they take high speeds to make it a challenge for the Z, plus it's a state park area so it's 5 bucks a car.
Same thing with Red Rock Canyon's scenic drive-though that run is only 13 miles with a one way road not to mention bikers/hikers, plus they'd probably time us and have tickets waiting when we finish the run. That said I'll drive farther past the scenic drive and see what that road is like.
Then there is Mt. Charleston-downsides to that (IMO) it takes about 30-45 minutes to get to the mountain (going about 10mph over) and personally I don't think the mountain has quite enough twisties to warrent a 40 minute drive of folk in the Z4's.
Long story short, well work on a general timeline IMZ4N and I discussed a possible March/April time frame. In the meantime I'll do some heavier researching and try to find a good nearby place to terrorize. I don't know where everyone would like to go for beers/drinks, The Haufbrau house gets my vote though. German cuisine and beer....can't beat it.
I'll try and get in touch with the local BMW chapter here, but I'm on swings atm (evening shift) so the hours aren't conducive to really getting in touch with them.
I'll probably do another thread on this stuff as the time gets closer.
Now, where the hell did my camera to usb cable go?!
