Yeah I'm just trying to figure out what time to try to show up at the resort.

You are just showing up for a stay on Saturday night and then driving home?

I figure I'll shoot for getting to the resort around 8:30am on Sat, meeting up with ya'll at 9:30 (unless some are already at the resort) and then staying sat night. Or would it be better to just meet at the parking lot then after the run go check in and unwind?

I'm quite undecided about attending the Oktoberfest event. I may have to bring my Oktoberfest hat.....

I believe check-in is at 2PM. Check the link on the first page for where we are meeting at 9:30.

The resort says guaranteed check in is 4pm, but you can request an early checkin at noon at no extra charge. I suspect IMZ4N will keep us busy till well past noon ... :driving:

IMZ4N, do you have a AAA card? or anlyone else? So I can borrow it at the front desk for a 10% fee reduction at check in?

The way it normally works, you hand them your credit card and then as for discount and pull the card out and flash it for them.

I figured there was some kind of limit with check in. That solves all my problems, looks like i'll be showing for the drive! I will bring sunscreen this time.....

Is that not like inspection 4 for you???????? mister I was awarded the Z4 with the most milage twice in a row.

Actually, It is more like inspection "7" However...I was thinking on my way home...you should give out rewards for the cleanest car, dirtiest car, oldest car, highest mileage car, car that has been in most states, most HC trips..etc etc. I think a $50 gas card for each reward would be good. Oh, of course, you would have to break it up into Z3 and Z4 groups..  :poke: :driving:

Not a problem...let me sell some of my stocks... :x

Well Rick,

I do appreciate your offer to be my sponser for this event, Howerver, :( for you to be a sponser of a ZSCCA event, you need to be approved by the Board of Directors and they do not have a meeting scheduled till November. :headbang: I will however, get your offer in front of them before the next event. Thank you for your awesome support and I will have my ducks in a row for the next offer. :P

Looks like weather will be with us for our drive this coming weekend. Big Bear is forcast to be high of 69 low of 32 and Lake Arrowhead high of 71 and lows near 45. Think of dressing in layers and one of those layers should be a jacket. Driving scarfs and heated seat will be the savior of the weekend. At this moment we have no fires in the area and I will be watching for issues as the week goes on. Looking forward to seeing everyone and looks like good times.

can't do chains on my Z, so the book says, is that true? I live in San Diego, what the heck do I know about snow? Forget that I was born and raised and nad lived in Alsaka from time to time, I choose the San Diego top down all year weather for a reason! :driving: :driving: :driving:

I dunno why, driving on snow is much more exciting without chains!

It sure is... I remember the good old days back in Italy when it was snowing. Nobody in the streets but me with a Y10

and my friend with a 4WD Panda

... Great times...

BMW has chains for both the Z3 and the Z4 in their accessory catalogue. I will try them on tonight and let you know if they fit or not, but I don't see why not. We got ours @ Costco for the Alero (215/60-15) but they fit also the 225/50-16 on the Zes...

HEY BOB,

PM me a starting time and place.

We can be there but have to get back that nite for other reasons.

Long drive day.

Is there a time and place to meet Saturday for the Z-a-van to Big Bear? Map Quested and put Lodge address in GPS in case I drive alone to the lodge from San Diego. I am looking forward to this weekend adventure!
