I'm sorry I've hijhacked trhe tread, but it's done... ehehehe. Here's some updates:

Shaft is off, and in the trunk of the Z4: it looks like Mr Bangle designed it just the right size.

It was a little painful to remove but not too bad after all. First I didn't have the front of the car raised and didn't have enough jack stands to (driveshaft was not supposed to be removed in the original plan); then I didn't have two 18mm wrenches (stupid Harbor Freight decided to skip the 18mm in the 40 some pieces set they sold me...)

Anyway... It looks like things are moving.

PS: please don't tell my wife I've been using her car for this... I might get in trouble :(
 
Hope those aren't mary's good sheets you put that on in her trunk! Mary will be a little upset I think!!!!! :o
 
OK guys and gals, back to the right thread....jeez...
Got my car out of the shop. It went in for some Preventive maintenance. Sure costs lots of cash for that trans oil.
Anyway, she is ready to cruise the mountains now. :driving: :thumbsup:

Cool, Is the car shifting any different? Did you do the Diff as well? I assume you had the work done by the guy you normally use?
 
Ohhh yeah, just booked my room for the 18th. Karen said there was one left! Go me!


Suffice to say, I'll be there!
So I just hope my garmin takes me to the correct address for both the resort and start of the run. What time is everyone showing at the resort? What time will people be leaving the resort for the run on Saturday?

Also if all goes well (shipping and installation) I'll be on this cruise with new rear pads/rotors and steel braided brake lines. If things go really well I might even have a modified CDV installed.
 
Well, everyone staying at the resort will be there after the drive . :wink: I would think around 4 or 5. The drive however, will be in Redlands Saturday AM, meet at 9:30 and leave at 10:00.

By the time I get up on Saturday and drive in the sun all day and the have dinner and some drinks, I will most likely be done. :oops: If I still feel like going ,I will just get one there.
 
Hey I hear ya, I will be driving longer than you to get to you to car-a-van with you guys! Let's see how much energy we all have after a day of fun!
 
HEY, we should fit right into the Oktober fest, eh?? How many are staying at the resort? I am not, will be probably driving home saturday evening.
Bob, my car feels so much better now. Nope, I didn't get the diff done this time. My guy said it will be done on inspection 2. I got the oil, coolant and trans done this time.

Is that not like inspection 4 for you???????? mister I was awarded the Z4 with the most milage twice in a row.
