so which coupe owner wants a roadster for the summer?

I think the 3.0 is too boomy and not actually all that good sounding from inside the car, roof up or down.

Thank god for the sound generator giving it some induction growl with most of the foam out. Without that I'd actually not be all that impressed with the car as it comes for noise quality, and quantity.

I'd rather have something that sounded more like the MkV R32 Golf for example. Very fruity and treble laden in comparison to the bass line Z4 3.0...

Think thats down to personal choice though really.
I love the boomy sound, especially the rumble you get if you just catch the throttle gently from idle.

Not everybody is fortunate like you to live in a decent climate. Like Lucy, my top down days would be far and few between in Montréal so it made much more sense for me to buy a coupé and the coupé is IMO a better looking car for my taste.

I'm sure it rains here 50% of the time, even more reason to then enjoy the sun when it's out :D

I put my lid down if the roof is dry and it isn't raining. If the roof is wet bu it's not raining, after 5 miles it's blown dry and down it goes at the next stop :)

I actually think the roof should be automatic, so many UK people buy a convertible/drop top but never use them :(

That would have to be one strong roof motor!! It would wear out otherwise because it would be up and down so much in the UK! :P

I have only had the roof closed on two of my trips in total !!

Boomy? If you want it to make a noise like a 1.1l vauxhall corsa you could put a big exhaust on it, personally I think it sounds fine when you give it some revs but then quiet when you dont as exhaust systems are designed to be.

Id rather have a ferrari f430 but thats never likely to happen lool
