They were supposed to be made to be able run a flue inside for the stove. As you can see, that didn't work out! Turns out the manufacturers thought it was going to be a gas flue, not a solid fuel one. Bad communication but they were on by then!ronk said:Your house would look so very wrong without chimneys.

They are made of fibreglass, with brick "slips" stuck on (slivers of brick about 25mm thick). I bolted them to the trusses with M14 coach screws. You'd do well to tell that they are fake, though.
