and bought a Z4 whilst i was there..........

well i'm sure that it cost just as much as a new set of tyres for my 1 series so why not.

so with a tempting discount of £4,500 off the 2.0 sport roaster in the showroom how could i refuse.

comes to quite a good spec

and some banging alloys!

what else do you need to know - new car due for arrival on the 1st of march - a nice little birthday present to myself.
:bday:..hopefully wraped in a bow by the dealership - but maybe that's asking too much?

current car 118d se - can i get used to driving a petrol car again???
crap trade in price but isn't it always.

1 boyfriend, 2 cats and a enormous mortgage.

work in the voluntary setor (nice and touchy feely, guardian reader, with a collection of birkenstocks)- so this is really going to piss off the boss - he was complaining about my baby bmw so whats he going to say about the new car???

here's for a bit of global warming this summer so that i can have the top down.

I think this is the 2nd or 3rd impulse Z purchase this month - who said the Z's flame-surfacing was horrible?! 8)

The wait must be hard! I did the same as you, took my car in for service (MINI Cooper S) and ended up leaving with a Z :lol: Funny how things seem to happen.
 
Congrats on your new purchase. assume you bought it from Sytner on Penarth Road. Picked mine up there just before Christmas. Don't expect too much in the way of extras (bows, champagne, flowers) when you get it. I had the feeling they just wanted to quickly hand over the car, and get rid of me as fast as possible when I picked mine up :( . Here's hoping you have a better experience. Enjoy the car, it's fantastic.

phil45110, oh dear... yep i got it from Sythner on Penarth road - i got my 1 series from there a couple of years ago and they were a bit hasty with me then - but i though that was because i'd only spent £19,0000 with them and not more.....i guess it's ging to be an in and out process on saturday with it being plate change day and all....my slot for picking the car up is 12.00pm.

I took my plate registration documents and insurance in this morning and saw it all locked up looking gorgeous - and shiny, but now it has a few sticky "mambot" prints all over it. i did nearly wet myself when i saw it and it was the only z4 in there and it looked all tiny and alsone surrounded by big bad x5's- they'd got all the othe 08 cars in there as well - the 318 seems to be popular????

Leap year tell me about it.........

I didnt quite go in for a service bt di only go to the dealer for a test drive.....and ended up buying it! Its also right near my borthday, must be us Pisces :) I chose the same colour although I have the black leather
 
So 3 days of ownership and i'm loving it - although only driven it twice as i was hit by the bloody flu this weekend......sneezed and coughed my way to the dealership on saturday - made sure that everyone knew i was there - drove home and died for the rest of the weekend. just been into work and amazed the girls with the new purchase!!!! the boss made some grumbling comments - and this from a ford focus owner!!!

off to birmingham this afternoon in it - going to give it a blast (obviously within the confines of the speed limit) up the m5......... will post some pics after the weekend!!!
