So I finally got round to painting my calipers :)

Well i've had to put off doing mine until this weekend coming (hopefully!)

I ended up not having the time to do them yesterday after i'd been out for an unexpected lunch that ended up taking over 3 hours, so i didn't have enough time to do them seeing as it would be getting dark around 6.

So i got up at 9.30 today to do them, got all the things together after i'd showered and as i was walking towards the stairs i dropped the tin of paint since my hands were rather full, and the lid came straight off, red paint everywhere!!! So i've just spent the last 2 hours scrubbing the carpet, getting high on fumes from white spirit and turps, but luckily it's pretty much come out.

And now it's bloody raining so i can't do them anyway!! I think someone is trying to tell me something :(

Jeez - what a disaster.

Going to start photoshopping now but has anyone gone with blue?

I dont think the red would look good on mine so it is blue or silver me thinks.

I did PS blue and yellow when I was debating what color I wanted to go with. Thought the blue might tie in with the Roundels. Didn't care for either, but that could just be my PS skills. :D

Doh!

I've just been looking at mine, thinking black will do on a silver car...

Dave

Yeee thats what I'm thinking. I asked James' opinion and he said black.

Eyup,

I'm going with red on my montego blue coupe. Blue just looked too... well, blue! I thought red was gonna look odd, but after I photoshopped it I though it looked great!

Yellow looks good! 8)

I agree! :D

I would love to do mine yellow but it would clash too much with the red interior.

It might but you do have a coupe so wouldn't be so noticeable. Have you got tints?

Might be worth a try

I'm booked in for tints on the 21st.

I think with it being black i need to go red as black and red look great together. Although yellow looks good with black too...

If my car were white it would definitley be yellow calipers. But i think i need to stick with black and red.

You guys/gals actually like the yellow? I was thinking red because of my red interior as well, but I'll have to think about this now.

On a side note, my neighbor drove by in his Cayenne Turbo yesterday and all I could focus on where his massive red calipers. :o Maybe what we need is a caliper cover. Just an empty shell that would fit over the existing one but give the look of a large Brembo. Wonder if Pep Boys carries anything like that? :D

You don't have to spend $150
There's thousands of sets of these for sale on ebay some for £20....

Oh man, I know you guys are going to kill me for saying this, but I really dig that first kit. :P I wouldn't spend that much money on them, but they look pretty darn nice and nobody would know it's not real until one of them flew off at speed.:D Only drawback to these is that there's no way you could take your car to a shop with these on. Can you imagine the mechanics laughing at you? Do like the concept though.

I'd get some of these and have done :poke:

This is exactly what puts me off painting my calipers red. Saw this beauty on the way to work this morning.
