Stunning part of the world, and quite spectacular in such snowy conditions. Not that much fun camping out in it though and not nice making us canoe in the loch, proving under controlled conditions that we could capsize safely.
I think it was 1983 or 84. Was my first visit to Scotland and I promised myself to come back and see it in the summer. Have been back many times by bike to the highlands and a few times by car, but only as far as Glasgow to see my team play.
Trip planned to Fort Augustus in May.
