Snow Foam product test

Nice test, but still firmly in the pre-wash camp after my own extensive testing. Snow foam is now simply as an added lubricant when washing. So jet wash, pre-wash, jet wash, snow foam and wash with 2BM, jet wash, RO water via open hose method, pat dry any drips.

So what do you use for the pre wash? My understanding was the idea was to get as much off before applying anything to the paint such as a cloth etc pre TB and this was why snow foam worked as it was spray and rinse.

Quite a few options, buddy - but, again from testing, AutoFinesse Citrus Power and Valet Pro Citrus Prewash came out on top (the latter being the better one for dilution ratios).

So jet down car to remove as much as poss, spray on pre-wash to break down grime, jet wash off, followed by snow foam (prefer Magifoam from AutoBrite currently) as a lubricant during the 2BM. Then jet off and open hose with RO/DI water and pat dry any drips.

So pre wash is a chemical applied by spray bottle. I haven't tried that before. Take it you just leave it to soften the dirt much like some (including me) use snow foam for.

I will try it. Like the idea of the foam being another barrier to scratching for the TB.

When I get the car corrected and ceramic magic put on part of the deal is they teach you how to look after it and what to do.

Probably a marketing excercise but hopefully pick some of their tips up as well.

If people want to pay for someone to independently undertake a controlled test and share with others, brilliant... otherwise, this to me is a welcomed addition, thanks!

Sorry for the gap and the positive feedback, I've been working 7days a week recently so haven't been on here much but will continue this snow foam test with the 'cheaper' alternative Valet Pro Advanced snow foam.

During the winter months or on an incredibly dirty vehicle I would use a citrus pre cleaner on the lower half along with snow foam to help loosen tough dirt before pressure washing.

Snow foam to use as a lubricant is a great way of minimising damage to your paintwork while cleaning, I use a spare lance with a shampoo and snow foam cocktail to aid with the 2bm.

I am also working in a show wax test for durability and look - Soft 99 Authentic, Auto Finesse Illusion, Bouncers Vanilla Ice, Auto Vision Waxipan, a 'blend' wax, Waxaddict CandyGloss and finally Auto Perfection Intensify. Will post this up once complete.
