SmartTop alternative

Not yet - its still 0 down here so not moving the roof unless it is slightly warmer - had the charger on here for 4 hours so hopefully its going to work.
 
Looks like we got a shed load of snow due as well so may have to wait until next week - may take it into work and put it into the unit and try it there
 
The alternator churns out 100 Amps so there will have been more going in than out - even with headlights etc :thumbsup:
 
Well time I got home was late / wet so I left it but will most certainly get the charger back on there tomorrow if the weather permits.

Need to sort the program as well as I am not happy with the door settings
 
Yes that is how I have set it but on opening only the drivers door unlocks initially, where as I want them both to unlock on the key
 
After charging and reconditioning the Battery on Sat, the snow has finally gone so tested the roof operation using the fob and now it works fine for both open and close - happy days :D

Yep - £22 for a smart charger and about four hours on charge and all sorted, not getting the old car on lamp warning now either :thumbsup:

Got that thing now for the other 5 cars on the drive

a newbie question - is this a smarttop function too? even the locking above certain speed or do I have to have that coded in? and have you sorted out the unlocking of both doors? thank you!

Clarker is correct, both mine open on the key
 
great, thanks guys... seems like there is no point to search or even consider anything else instead the SmartTop, is there? (as attempted to discuss in this thread somewhere)

The Smarttop is expensive but if works!
When / if you sell your car, you will easily sell the device and recoup a huge chunk of your outlay

Buy a used unit and you’ll get all of your cash back!
Roadster Bags are a similar buy and resale commodity
