Haha genius!

So you can programme it off the car before you install it then.

I wonder if I can hold off and get someone to buy me one for Christmas.... hmmmm. Maybe I should take delivery of the car first!

Do you programme it through the car or via the USB connection?

You can program via the indicator stick or USB. Indicator stick is abit tricky but not to bad once you get the hang off it.

I just programmed mine with the options i required before i installed mine. I left the USB cable attached to the module and routed the cable to i can access it if i want to. (behind 1 of the little removable panels in the boot).

Well done vidge, as you found out the catches need to be right down before you place the harness in and close them back up. Apart from that easy easy.

I've taken mine out once after for some warranty work and i bet it took me 5 minutes from start to finish now i know what im doing.

Thanks Jonny, yeh i agree, now i have done it i could take the entire thing out and reinstall in no time.

Love the mirrors folding thats a really nice little touch too. :D

For the folding mirrors I'm guessing you already need to have these?

I'm also a little wary fitting this as seen a couple on ZPost where the roof has got stuck and had to go into the dealers for a fix. Although it seems easy to remove beforehand.

Any pics of where the unit is hidden in the boot?

Tim.

Hi guys, yes you need electric mirrors, for them to fold. with the location of the unit i will try and get a pic of it at the weekend, but its pretty easy to find somewhere for it. I genuinely think i could take this out in about 5 mins if i had to. its really really easy! :)

So it lets you have one touch inside and from the key fob to open and close the roof, so that you don't have to hold the buttons down..

And the mirrors fold in and out when you unlock the car, and you don't have to do it from the inside...

And the roof can open and close a speeds up to 30 kph...

Anything Else?

All sounds good

This sounds amazing but I notice you have to double tap the lock button to fold the mirrors when locking. Does this effect the disabling of the motion sensors as well still?

I dont have to double tap the lock button, every time i lock the car the mirrors fold and when i open the drivers door they fold out again.

Ok great, thanks. Watched a video on YouTube and the guy clicked it twice to fold the mirrors.

being an absolute retard when it comes to anything technical (aside from in my job as an IT engineer), how much would i expect to pay an averagely competent garage to install it if i decide to get one?

This must be a standard because im an IT engineer also , but anything else techincal retard is being polite
