I read somewhere recently that someone bought this for £140.. What has everyone else paid?

This looks like my birthday present. I have found it for about £220. Can anyone better that?
Tell us where, interested in this myself.

Is that £220 delivered inc vat inc import taxes tho?

I can get it for that but then there's vat and import duty which takes it so close to £280 that u might as well buy it here!

Does the smarttop stop a one button remote opening if a door is opened?

One thing that bugs me now is if I'm sat in the car and lowering the roof or lowering remotely, if my other half opens the passenger door the roof stops. I have to then start the process again.

If the roof keeps going on a door open that would be a plus for me..

i was planning on getting one of these for Christmas....... my resolve seems to have failed and i have just ordered one! Whoops

I had the one-touch/remote module on my E85... am tempted to get one for the E89 when I take delivery....

Where did you order it from Vidge?

Ordered from www.ppcgb.com but from their Ebay site. (£279.99 delivered)

I placed the order at 4:51 and have already (5:22) had an e-mail saying it has been dispatched and will arrive tomorrow, via DPD!!!!! AMAZING service! guess i know what i am doing tomorrow evening!!! :D

main reason for buying it was i had the Gaptech module on my E85 and really missed it, this seems like the best option out there.

You wont regret is, i love the functionally it add to my Z4. Not had a single problem at all with it. Just take your time installing it and follow the instructions. Apart from when i didn't connect the harness correctly first time and i got an error on my idrive  Hardest part was figuring where to put the module and harness nicely to close all the panels back up. 5 minutes fiddling and you will figure it :P

Great unit - well worth the investment as it makes opening / closing the roof more practical (for me at least)

well so far so good, got all the bits off that i needed too, and have found the correct plug that i need etc so just waiting and watching every single van that comes in to the industrial estate!

Cool. I am tempted now. So let's see how easy it is. Take lots of before and after pics!!!

+1

I'm tempted by this, so would like to see lots of pictures!

Job Done! that really is very very easy! though i also had the crap pants moment when the LED wouldnt go out, but Jonny's guide showed me i was doing the exact same thing as him and you have to push the catches right to the bottom before you reconnect them!

Setting up the unit couldnt be easier! plug the thing in, open the programme and then everything is self evident!

I set it up so i have:

1) auto roof down and up - which isnt interuped by opening the door or starting the engine.
2) one touch buttons inside
3) up to 30kph roof up or down (though once started it will carry on even if you accelerate - so will have to be a little careful of that)
4) mirror fold once locked and open out when drivers door opened.
5) All window switch now one touch up

I have however just realised i failed to take a single photo! However Moonshine's guide tells you everything you need to know!

they really should make the connector about 10cm longer it would make finding a home for the entire thing a hell of alot easier! but you can find somewhere for it with a bit of bu88ering about.

I have also hidden the USB connection behind the side light panel so its very easy to get to.

Going out for a drive after work so will have a bit more of a play, all i will say to anyone considering buying one. if you are worried about the installation, dont be! if you have ever so much as held a bit of Lego you will be able to work this thing out! :D

I ordered this at 4:22 last night and already its fitted and working, i am really impressed with that service!
