Whats a man gotta do to protect his toy?

I've tried the fear factor but no joy :poke:

Keep the suggestions legal

I have the same problem with my cat mate.I've tried opening the roof with my Gaptech to stop her when she is snoozing on it
I've given up now trying to stop her.I use a long strip of packaging sticky tape to get the hair's off the roof.

I had the same problem on my last Z4. A friend told me to try tin-foil as apparently cats hate the sound and feeling of tin-foil. So I tried it...

I took one strip and put it down the middle locking it on with both windows. Well, I was shocked, it worked! The cat stayed away and after a few weeks I stopped putting the tin-foil back on and the cat never returned! I'd say its definitely worth a try!

I keep a lint roller in the boot for this kind of hairy scenario.

Alternatively, you could put something a bit higher, warmer and softer next to the car. A bird table with a black pillow perhaps? A friend in a Mr Blobby costume?

Any spray with a citrus scent should work.

Failing that, water pistols/jet wash/hosepipe works wonders.

Wish I could help but none of my suggestions are good if its your own cat and probably not legal

There were tears at bedtime when this was last discussed!

I have a fence post at home the moggies used as a scratching post - Its in tatters now but the tin foil has stopped it!
Now all I have to stop is the their crap in the garden. :x

Every time you find the cat on the car give it a blast with the hosepipe, it will get the idea eventually.

One of my earliest memories was my Grandfather giving me a cup of water and telling me to chase the cats from his vegetable patch! - I never caught one, ever!

I'm away on holiday in Germany at this time - I spent hours washing and polishing the car - Got to the hotel and the local moggy has been dancing all over the roof and bonnet with its mucky boots on :x

I suppose hair comes off easier than scratches so be thankful :)
