We have basic tv and unlimited broadband for £30 per month through virgin.
All four Bedrooms have amazon fire stick with full sky including sports and movies for approx £25 one off cost each and nothing per month. The kitchen and living room have openboxes connected to a sky dish with full sky including sports movies and pay per view for £60 per year for the two.
I used to pay sky's extortionate amounts but really disagree with what they pay for the football rights. It's reported Messi has been offered £800,000 per week to play football for Man City.
I currently pay for the full sport / movie packages from Sky and tried to save by buying one of these boxes which gives all the channels for a one off cost. The picture quality wasn't quite as good but the clincher was the ease of use of the sky box with the TV Guide etc so only lasted a week! I also love the "live" pause forward and back feature.
How does the amazon fire stick work? Any noticeable operating differences between it and normal Sky tv? How can you get Sky open boxes for £60 per year which I am very interested in as I pay more than this a month?
If I can save this then more cash for my playing with cars fund
