Simota Intake will be available in August

Always seemed a bit odd - introducing a new product in 2012 for a low-volume car that ended production nearly 4 years ago.
Possibly the demand wasn't there for a new to 3 year old car on it's original owner, and a lot of cars would still have had manufacturer's warranty.

Once they're into 2nd/3rd owner territory you seem to see the modding ratio increase.

I'm not an impatient person, but even I'm getting a little bored of waiting now, and might just cancel my UK order completely.

any replies from the seller yet mmm-five? really wanting to snap one up if their any good.

Not a peep as of yet.

It'll probably make a nice Christmas present though :headbang:

So if one wants an aftermarket intake which one to get , how much and where to source ? Need to tell Steve Guglielmi next week.

I have emailed Simota regarding these and this was his reply....

"Hi Stuart,

Yes they are coming in on Monday, 4 are sold so 2 left on this order.

They cost £372.06 each include delivery and VAT.

I can do you a deal for 10 at £334.85 each for delivery in approx 3 weeks.

Regards

Graham Sansom

Director

Simota UK Ltd"

Looks like yours may be one of the four mmm-five!

It better had be :headbang:

Wonder what took them so long to get them here, considering they were quoting a 5-6 week lead time when I ordered/paid.

Just pestered him again about whether they turned up yesterday and he said they did, so yours should be on its way, im still undecided whether to order one or not! hmm

I will be waiting for the review what it is all about then ...
You're really keen on my 'Test 1: interior, static' style videos then :poke:

Unfortunately I'm away from home the rest of the week (until Friday afternoon), so if they've tried to delivery the package in the meantime, it might just be returned as 'undeliverable'

I'd even consider picking it up from somewhere on the way home, but it's in Bexleyheath and that's a pain to get to from Brentford (probably 2 hours each way, and then a 4 hour drive home on Friday) :headbang:

Get Inkey$ to collect it, it's not far for him...Of course you'll then have to persuade him to remove it from his car and give it to you :D

Haven't fitted it yet, but it seems very well made. I am surprised how big the cone filter is.

The instructions are rather vague though, not much better than
1 - remove the original parts
2 - fit the new parts

Should be fun

Wonder how fast I can get from London to Liverpool on Friday to see if there's a little 'failed delivery' notice in the porch?

Current record is 2h30m - albeit at an ungodly time, a long time ago and in a different car
