Is yours a M Sport?
No its not buddy, got quite a big arch gap so would like to close that up a bit, wasn't sure whether to just throw in 19s , lower it and stay on 18s or go the whole hog and lower it and go with 19s

Well the arch gap remains constant irrespective of wheel diameters.. the net diameter (wheel plus tyre) remains the same. the ratio of black tyre to alloy changes..if the alloy is silver-ish you get an optical effect of 'fill' ?

Changing the springs will change the real arch gap..

I kept my MSport springs and fitted Bilstein B8 shocks.. so my arch gap didn't change..

Very happy with the results in terms of ride/handling/pot hole managment..

Ay further lowering IMHO would ciompromise the ability to get over road humps etc..even now the front spoiler just kisses quite often..

Pictures of 17 19 and 18 for reference..

Now Im worried Phondar didn't know that there's an MSport spring for our car, ordered a set of Eibach Pro kit which is suppose to lower stock front by 25mm & rear 15mm

Cheers

They do 3 different sets of springs AFAIK..price wise most expensive first..

Eibach Pro-Kit Performance Spring Kit E10-20-019-01-22

Eibach Replacement Pro-Kit Spring F11-20-019-01-HA

Eibach Replacement Pro-Kit Spring F11-20-019-01-VA

The pro kit states

"All spring lowering amounts are measured off the Standard chassis, this would not include models such as sports, Sline and Msports for example which may come lower from factory, you will need to take that measurement off of our measurement to give you an approximate drop."

I bought these as it was stated for Sdrive28i in Eibach's web. Eibach Pro-Kit Performance Spring Kit E10-20-019-01-22.
Question what if it turns out too low is there any solution to raise ithe car a little ? Read of M Sport sping lower by 10 mm
but that was for the 35i or 35is ?????

Thanks again Phondar

MSPORT lowers by 10mm front and rear over stock suspension on all E89s..that's not the adaptive version..

Thanks, no they are 19's

You should get the same drop as these with your springs. Its nice, and not too low.

If you do decide to lower then be wary of rim widths ,offsets & tyre sizes on the rear if you switch to 19s , with my Msport 35i lowered on H&Rs i found 9.5j et 35 19 was the limit for rubbing when driving enthusiastically  .
Though Eibachs don't drop quite as low its the pronounced rigid profile of the rear arch liner that creates the issue , have a look & you will see what i mean

Noted Andy.. Cheers

Love those alloys Mavster, who makes them and what are the offsets? Are you running spacers? I know they would be an absolute mare to clean but they look beautiful......

For visual reference this is lowered on H&Rs with 9.5j et38 rears running 255-35-19 tyres (Vred Vorti)

Thanks, they are Classic C13's by Alpina. if you don't let them get dirty then they are not too bad to clean. Plus, I don't drive the car much.
Front Wheels: 8Jx19 ET36 245 tyres
Rear Wheels: 9Jx19 ET47 265 tyres

From memory, it has12mm spacers all round.

20200415_124950.jpg20200415_183120.jpgIt's an M Sport suspension with additional 10mm -15mm drop on Eibach springs

Do you have just the Eibach springs or the full Bilstein / Eibach B12 Pro kit? and what are you thoughts on the ride / handling on these Eibach as opposed to the standard M Sport setup?

Just the Eibach pro springs that the OP mentioned and uprated ARB's all round.

It is a big improvement on stock. Its just as comfortable on normal driving. There is much less roll in corners and also quite a bit less diving on braking, and less rearing up from the front on acceleration

Thank Gents for sharing. Btw I would imagine the MSport front spring rate should be different for 30i/35i/35is right, I mean they're nose heavier then ours which are N20 engines.

Cheers
