Hang on my Z3 is priceless  Well about the cost of a Timex actually

I've learnt with Tags don't try and sell once you've bought  unless you're prepared to take a big loss, styling wise I do like them over a Rolex which I've never warmed too somehow.

I'm warming to a BRM which I'm trying to resist

That is a seriously awesome timepiece! Love the shock absorbers!

And just for the sake of :fuelfire:

I promise I won't do it again

I can see where this thread is rapidly going :D

I've been considering a Tag fake :o but dare I admit to that :)

Quite like this one with a swiss movement, tacky maybe but for me like the style at a fraction of the cost, think they're around 5K on the second hand market for a genuine.

Id avoid that website mate in fact most sites with fakes on are just plain scammers

Grrr ipad just lost my post & can't be bothered to rewrite it!

Gist was wanting to keep it on track & me not to comment on fakes again, as I must be getting dull.

There are some legit watches with far higher pedigree out there & that you won't feel dirty when looking for the time

Love the BMR, but would be concerned on resale value, so suggest you buy it & when you are bored I will give you sub-Tag level of return on it

I too love a Tag visually, but the resale value is criminal. Think it comes from the good old days at school where I always wanted one similar to this, but neither I or my parents could justify such an expense: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TAG-Heuer-Mens-Sports-Elegance-Link-Chronograph-CG1110-1-Charcoal-SEL-Chrono-/261984781477

Yeah, but that's one is worth like 2p? I don't believe that's a genuine one so cheapo watch it is.

Two tells the face and the rubber isn't 'clean' around the crown.

So Bobby69 you make a comment aimed at Envy and his fakes and compliment this one? :scratchhead:

The comment I made was not aimed at one individual it was aimed at everyone who buys fake goods
be it watches or other luxury items
As for complimenting the watch I wouldn't expect after all the other posts that someone would post a picture of a fake watch

Well they have and that's what that one is. I know you own a genuine AP, your not the only one but you have a lot to learn about the 'super reps' out there.

And so if Envy hadn't of been up front about his being fake you would never have posted your comments. But maybe someone posting a fake without being honest about is one of those people who are 'kidding themselves' and you it would seem

Angie and mj2k - thank you for all your info re Rolex Sub and IWC Portuguese. I must admit to being a little in love with the IWC. Just as I was with the Sub for years before I could afford to treat myself.

Back to the "cheapish" watches now and apologies for the diversion.

Yep the price limit was the cost of the watch not the service OG.

I had a seamaster serviced last year and was very pleased with the results - to be honest when you see what goes into a watch service it makes car services seem pretty expensive

Sorry guys never tried to fool any one, I had already posted about my replica watches and thought it was clear that I made that post in jest. That said it is a very nice watch IMO full forged carbon case titanium back, ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal etc, I love it but can see why due to the replica thing that others wouldn't. Obviously the movement in it is nowhere near AP standards but it works for me.

Like I said before I posted that in jest and did promise in that post I won't do it again

So.....

Back on topic, I picked this up on eBay, delivered last week less than £40 all in delivered from America

I am a sucker for the Constellation and also have one handed down to me. I had it serviced and it cost as much as the watch is worth (circa £500). Look after it and enjoy wearing it when you go out.

Good to see the thread back on topic!

Another one from the inkey$ time collective. This time my Suunto Core. Love this watch. Other than the rubber strap ring (which has worn and broken twice) this thing is pretty indestructible and makes me look like a Navy Seal ;)

If you love it then why not. IWC's always have a timeless elegance about them

I think when people buy an automatic watch especially they don't realise that servicing will be needed at some point and it's a good chunk of money depending on the brand and age of the watch.

They estimate that by the time a watch is sent for service around the 5 year mark its components have covered around 23500 miles! You wouldn't let your car go that long but a watch will happily plod on.

So always best to treat a watch like a car you love.

85genius good man for admitting it, still a cracking 'replica' and to most people they won't be able to tell even from your pictures never mind further away on your wrist. Sometimes I wish my other half had a rep hobby and that way I wouldn't have massive insurance lay out for all the ones he has.........that and not boking everytime he spends the price of a car on one

Very functional watch there. Mike found a bog standard Sunto in a local charity shop for £4, just needed a battery. I've never seen someone get so excited!

On the servicing cost it's why I like Christopher ward so much the service costs are reasonable - chronograph done for 145 coupled with the 5 year warranty makes them great buys .

If you are in the south east their showroom in Maidenhead is well worth making an appointment
