Loving the 'Hulk' monkadill

But the whole point of this thread wasn't to "show off "expesive watches! Nothing above £300 :poke:

Very true and a green sub is not a Milgauss :P which is why it kinda has gone a bit off topic again.

Now does the £300 mean it didn't cost you more than £300 or it's worth that?

This is a cheap watch. Bought for £50 in a local charity shop. Sold as seen, you weren't allowed to open it etc and I thought it was worth a punt. Turned out wasn't much wrong, got home, opened it up and took it all to bits to clean (movement out, hands off, face removed and then gave the movement a clean up and installed a new battery) and now it's away in my jewellery box. Not bad for a 14k gold watch

This was it just after purchase

£9.99 Timex, just changed the battery after 12 years, it tells the time just like a Rolex

You have the Timex and I'll have the Rolex if it's only the time that you need to determine!
No there's more to a watch than just telling the time - just like cars that are just for getting from A :B

Tim.

But unlike a Rolex or any other automatic watch it tells the time more accurately as automatic watches will loose or gain time depending on the use and storage.

There's more to it than just telling the time !
A watch is akin to jewellery and I know which I prefer - all cost aside !

Tim.

Isn't that the same reason you have nice polished wheels on the z3 ?
It adornment and cheapo wheels do the same job after all!

Now you've dragged me off topic again

dont hate because you guys could never pull it off because your too pale and old

Pale yes, but old no, or at least i wouldn't consider 31 as old

I wouldn't consider my age as old either

I can confirm I am pale and get sunburnt easily though...

either way, if you cant pull it off, you cant pull it off. your dress sense must be a little too conservative/ cheap/ boring etc. delete as appropriate :P
