Pateks and APs? Mike refers to his Rolexes as cheap watches. He clearly lives on another planet from the rest of us!
As for the Milgauss pictured above I've always been a fan of the green glass and fell in love with the pictures of the blue one when announced by Rolex earlier in 2014. I got the first blue face, green glass one to come into a dealer in Edinburgh in August after being on the list since it was announced. I don't wear it thought and when my AP was away for a 'water test' I wore a Pepsi GMT II which gets a lot of attention.

As the watch looked brand new after the refurb, he contemplated selling it and just put it to one side !
It was Christmas time and as they were having visitors, his wife did some tidy the place jobs.
The watch had some good history being from an RAF expedition in the Amazon.
The house has been ripped apart several times now and we all feel that it's in land fill now!

Thanks Steve, Gill got it for me when we were in St Ives last summer on my birthday. It draws a lot of comments!
They do a lot of different colour combinations, I see where you are going with the silver/black combo, looks uber cool and a good match with your zed!

I have a black faced explorer II that I wear everywhere - even when working on the car etc - I just use it!
As a result it's got some scratches on the bracelet and and one on the bezel - it's 15 years old - I was thinking about seeing if I can get it refinished - however given the above would this be the wrong thing to do??

You can tell rolex which bits you want replacing. They offered to replace the face of mine but I declined as the face told the watches entire life story. They also offered to replace the hands which I did as the current ones had been corroded by the luminous paint to the point they looked like there were going to fall off!Spikey said:

as above. If you are concerned about what to have replaced and what not to replace you should have a look at timezone, lots and lots of information there. Mike has some 1978 sports rolex's which went back with lists as long as your arm......basically they were to change nothing! You can even ask them not to polish the case and bracelet if you like the way it looks.

You do get authorised dealers who can also 'service' the watch and usually have accreditations but I'm never too sure as they usually charge the same as sending it back and I've heard and seen some horror stories on finishing. Plus my Dads first Tag wasn't pressure tested by an authorised repair centre and his diving watch lasted two mins in the sea and it was conpletley ruined. He also believed it was being sent back to Tag.
So if you want it sent back to Omega either send it yourself by Special Delivery after contacting the service centre or take it to a dealer and specify it's to be sent back to Omega.
I'm pleased that you've suggested what I was thinking also.
It's a case of penny wise pound foolish!
Now I'll have a look and see how and where Omega are. My watch has to be sorted soon as is loosing time and can't be relied upon.
My childhood Timex, Hopalong Cassidiy watch kept better time than my current Seamaster does!
