12k  it can be valued at 100k, doesn't mean anyone will pay that.

Jack is definitely insane, as are you for not doing the deal.

Well that,s your opinion :)

if you have such a low value of you Z then sell it for a £1

please don,t knock other people views .. tell you what I will offer you £50 and use yours as a donor car for parts ... happy !

Nick

So you were selling to Jack for £8k and buying an E89 35is and now you're keeping it but it's valued at £12k.
Seems Jack wasn't such a fool after all if he was getting a £12k car for £8k :o .........or do I smell a bit of bullsh1t :?

Hi

No bullshit .. the deal was £8000

I have just decided to keep the The Evoque and our Mini cooper that's all , for me to buy the new Z4 the Evoque would have to go as I could not afford both.

I really can not understand people on this forum at times, you should embrace high residual values of Z4's .. this is what claremont corvette does with his cars but people sell them please Google his site.

People on this site seem to knock members when they get high offers, why is this? as you are the people that keep the market artificially low :headbang: so you must have low values of you own examples.

The more people champion and encourage high purchase prices what is wrong with this ? but again as said before the age group of this childish forum at times like (how do you have sex in your z proves my point) does speak volumes as why I remembered now why I was getting out of the whole z4 scene .. just like the fast and furious s2000 brigade.

As said put you low value Z4 on the market and I will buy them for scrap and spares :poke:

Nick

I think this has run it's course - let's not end up bitching at each other . I don't doubt you had a firm offer Nick but I think your potential buyer realised , whilst it clearly is a lovely car , if you look at the present market this is the top price you would pay a main dealer ( if they were prepared to exceptionally put it on their forecourt ) and it would get a bmw warranty with it ). I'm pleased there are people around who would offer this , particularly as mine is similar in condition and very low mileage . Now you've decided to keep it enjoy with the knowledge it is arguably a one off ( actually two if you include mine  ) . I've been a forum member for nearly three years - don't broadbrush everyone - we all are trying to help and offer advice with honesty.

Why are you getting angry? You made a thread asking for opinions. I gave mine then get moaned at for having an opinion that differs to yours.

Bit weird.

Where did I say I would accept 50 quid?

You're just coming out with some silly comments now for whatever reason.

I'd happily accept 5k for mine. I have no desire to sell it right now though.

I'd happily accept £60 for mine. I have no desire to sell it right now though.

I'll give you £60 when you're ready ben

Like most differing opinions, I think reality is somewhere between the two extremes of 12k & £50

Hi

Last email on this subject ..

I have just seen all the last posts and yes you all have a point, but this is the issue with the current state of this Z4 forum

Forget my posts about my Z4 value as this is not relevant:

For some reason and I don't know why but I look at the forum and post stuff for genuine help and would like polite constructive criticism back which is great, But Honestly (and I am not the first to mention it) it seems like on occasions a Vipers nest of rude / piss take comments that just get members backs up .. sorry that's how I feel. I do not see the sort of behavior on say the corvette or Mustang owners site, perhaps they are just a more mature bunch .. like me nearly 50.

I was going to post my ESS supercharger build thread, but feel I have no more energy for this ...

Message to the the Moderators ! please remove my name history and post threads and membership as I have no further interest in this forum, yes its a forum but I expected better mature attitude help, which again for some reason eludes certain members .

signing out Nick .... PS message to jack .. don't bother wasting your money on this site as most members seem that £8000 is to much for their cars

just a shame ...

tbh I've had numerous silly offers over the years for my car, usually by wealthy dads at the sprint track wanting a toy for them and their kids to thrash for a little bit.... very very nearly did it one year. These types of situations are not a rare as one may think.

i had a concourse escort coswrth a few years back, some scruffy dude offered me silly money at the petrol station while i was filling up... 2 weeks later he'd sent full payment and was collecting the car with his family. :D

Sad conclusion to this thread :( :(

Agreed , a quite bizarre thread & come Dec 31st certainly one for most surreal post of the year  so much nonsense a shrink would struggle to know where to start :?
Shame when a decent member feels the need to leave though

Mmmm... bit of deja vu here...

Hi

OK OK .. I have picked up all my toys, and got back into my play pen ... Sandra has found the dummy, gave it a quick wash etc .. and put back

any way I have had a offer from a work college for £7500 so may take this, as he has seen all the £5K examples and most of them are tired dogs in very poor condition with numerous faults.

BMW owners club have seen mine, and with a little detailing they where interested to put on the Club NEC stand, because of the options and it being 100% OEM unmolested example.

this is the Z4M I am going to look at this afternoon (again overpriced) should be £15k max according to glasses guide

Tbh your motor is absolutely awesome and pretty unique! 8)

I really don't have any words to say to nick. To go off on one like that screams attention seeking and someone who can't handle opinions that are different to their own.

It is a shame. Why quit the forum because someone disagreed with you? Don't be silly. You're needed here, just like everyone else. Without us all, no one would get help and the forum wouldn't work as a forum!
