The internet is no different from any other public place - get 1000 people together, and a minority of them will be idiots in some form, whether it be rude, dishonest, egotistical, violent, etc. That's just life.
 
I can sympatise. the dynamic of the forum has changed over the 6 years plus I've been here. Most of the twats don't stay around for long luckily.

If you feel it's time to move on ship you will be missed but I fully understand. :cry:
 
Obvious shame.

Used Shipkillers info site on more than a few occasions. If youre reading this I really wouldn't take any grief or negative comms personally mate. The internet isn't like real life and alas that means the rules and passengers change from time to time. We either sit on the top deck watching the world go by, or decide to get off the bus.

I for one hope you get back on the bus some day.

I have to laugh, I've been on a few BMW sites because of my other BMW's and have found quite a lot of what I call "Children", foul mouthed ones at that, the first thought I had was that they should have kept their Trumpet muffler Civics and it seems that Ship has met them too... it's a crying shame he took the site down but a person can only take so much abuse.

"Thank You" Shipkiller, for what you have done for us in the past and I can only hope that you may change your mind in the future.

I've just been referred to this post when I went back to what I thought was a great resource. It's helped me out in fixing problems and in going to the garage with more confidence.

It's a shame the vocal minority spoil it for the grateful majority. Maybe the grateful ones just aren't vocal enough and it reassures the perceived ungratefulness of a community. I'm guilty of it. Shipkiller, I used your resources a lot and it helped me to no end. Thanks, and please come back. I'm still in need of your information and I'm for one, am very happy with what you provided us.

I fully support shipkiller's comments, even though I have only been in this forum the last few years. More and more join this forum and don't bother to of a search for information, I think between us all we have conquered the z4 e85 / 86 model but newbies asked questions that have been asked multiple times and wonder why they get members being short with them, some of us still point them in the right direction.
Yes there can be a lots of banter but personally we shouldn't let the minority win, please please please shipkiller don't give in to these and bring back your website to help the rest if us.
 
The wealth of knowledge should not be lost.

It should be amassed here for when we become senile and still own the z4 ( which might be pretty soon for some).

I wouldn't worry about the children having access as the new breed of young lads rarely bother to lift a wrench let alone tackle a project. :thumbsup:
