I have two cherished reg numbers improperly spaced, one of which I don't even bother changing for MoT these days - and none of them have the issuing makers details on - but never been stopped, warned pr fined despite regularly driving from West Wales to Dover and back. Probably because these days theres hardly a bobby to be seen on the roads.
Its my little reaction to being regulated to death over complete and utter nonsense. Your average ANPR device could read a plate in cyrillic script if it wanted to.
I asked the BMW dealer I got my car from to make me some up for me for my personal plate and they did them for free which I thought was good service...although they would have made a few grand from my trade in so not really that great service! as you say they are nice aluminium onesAZ4MW said:I went to my local BMW dealer and got a set made up with there details on so looks factory for £8 each plus vat, I must admit I was in shock, and the best bit the parts guy made them there and then, they are aluminium plates great quality and I'm well pleased![]()
I got a £60 fine for my plate and all I had altered was one number moved one space ,lacroupade said:I'd be interested to see if anyone has had a fine in the last few years for non-standard plates?
