The ride is one thing (yes it is a bit harsh) but that is usually the sacrifice one has to make to get good handling (active suspension excluded). In my mind there is a key distinction to be made between ride and handling.
Anyway, we all seem to be in agreement here:
1) Ditch the runflats
2) Get the bushes done
3) Get the alignment done.
