There is nothing on the BMW "system" to show it's been serviced, as i did post.
Sorry, my error. Is this the dealer system where you're buying it from or the BMW customer service phoneline? The two do not necessarily hold identical records.

What should i do, drive the Cornwall to visit the dealership where the previous owner lived? It's a long way from Darlington.
No, but have you called the original supplying dealer?

TBH i should not have to P**s about like this to try and make sure an "APPROVED USED BMW" is what it should be- An APPROVED BMW!!
No you shouldn't, but just because it's from a dealer does not mitigate your responsibility to check out the car you're purchasing.
All it gives you is a bit more confidence that it'll be sorted out to your satisfaction if you do buy the car.
'BMW Approved' is purely a marketing name for their used car scheme - it's meant to infer guaranteed quality & technical checks, whilst legally having bugger all comeback.
BTW, I'm not defending BMW dealers, and my views on them are well publicised on various internet forums already

2 options.
- Walk away.
- Get then to do the service that should have been done in feb.
I'd see what answer you get, as it's very easy to retrospectively add a 'missing' service to the computer as long as they've got an invoice number to go with it.
It's also very easy for you to walk away - unless you've left a deposit or traded in another car.
In the meantime, try to find another, and if you do simply walk away. Even if you've paid a deposit it should be refunded as the car is materially different to what you agreed to.
If you can't find another, then you'll need assurances (in writing) from both BMW and BMW Warranty that the new/used car warranty is still valid, with a bit of cash/extras/servicing to continue with the deal.
