Hi People, need your help please...
I picked up my 06 Roadster 3.0si yesterday from Stratstone BMW Doncaster, obviously being approved used it has full BMW history and 12months warranty and MOT. The cars done 51,500 miles. When buying the car the salesman assured me that it doesn't need the Inspection 2 service for 12k miles. A fact that the service indicator confirms when I get in the car. BUT on reflection and obviously it's too late now, I realise that it hasn't been serviced since 26/08/11. Not even an oil service.
Here's the service history breakdown
11/10/07 - Oil service - 14,654 miles
07/07/09 - Inspection 1 - 31,741 miles
26/08/11 - Oil service - 47,868 miles
10/09/13 - I bought the car @ 51,480 MOT'd
Inspection 2 due at 62k-ish
OK so clearly a lot of time has gone by since the last oil service despite the lack of mileage. So, is this bad? Do I need to get the Inspection 2 done now do you think?? This has taken the shine off the new car feeling for me as don't want to be stung with a £400 Inspection 2 bill from the off!
Also, at such an age would you recommend I stay with BMW for services or would you be switching to a BMW specialist? I suppose what I'm getting at is, is it worth sticking with BMW for what extra you get on resale value?
Thanks in advance!
Dave
