Hi,
I've just collected my car from the local Indy following it's service and just wanted to run this by members to see if it's unusual or normal? The car has just turned 6 years old, when I bought it it had two service stamps, an oil service at 18k and an inspection 1 and brake fluid change at 38k at roughly two year intervals, the last inspection being March 2011. The service indicator was showing is was due for an inspection in 9500 miles but the two years were up hence me booking it in. I'd already changed the air filter and plugs so it ended up having a mini Inspection 2 and a brake fluid change. So, on paper, it appears to have missed an oil service although clearly it hasn't as it had only covered 7k in the two years since it's last inspection. The indicator now shows 19500 miles to the next oil service. Is it usual to have inspections one after the other - would it be the fact that it had only covered 7k miles in two years that would trigger this do you think?
