Serious use of excessive police force...

Now I'm personally more concerned in the well being of The car in this vid  , which might make me a little biased....but...on another note...the use of police force and the excessive nature displayed here...is somewhat alarming. If you read the blurb under the video it turns out the car wasn't illegally parked. What are your opinions on this?

Arrogant kid thinking he was better than everyone else who just tried to drive off and he'd have happily driven over that cop's foot. Turned a simple situation into an assault on a police officer. If he knew he wasn't illegally parked, have the conversation with the cop and if that didn't work, employ one of daddy or mummy's lawyers to sort it out.

I fail to see the "excessive force." The cop told the guy to stop, he then proceeded to run over the cops foot, so the cop pulled him from the car and arrested him. The driver is blatantly a dick and deserves all he got

Have to agree with Stuart, it was only ever going to end in a bad way for him with that attitude.

yep, the guy should not have tried to drive off, if someone ran over my foot i would find it hard to keep my calm

Agreed

i dunno...i know hes an idiot and didnt approach it in the best manor....but if I was a police officer who you would think would have been trained to stay calm, I would stand 5 ft in front of his bumper, not sneakily plant my foot near the wheel where the driver can't see. which is why it seems like the copper was relishing the opportunity. (the limp at the end kind of looked faked too so seems a bit suspish....)

as an addition as i said before....I'm more saddened by the damage to the ferrari than anything. Actually makes my stomach churn seeing nice cars get damaged whoever the owner is :(

Don't watch this video montage then

That little trust fund w****r needs to be bitch slapped as well. One is far better off being civil to a guy with a gun and ticket book. Looks to me like the car had no front plate. Which is required in most states. That's not a big deal though, Just a fine. Which obviously this numpty's parental units/ trust fund can afford.

Now he could possibly face assault and fleeing charges. Apparently more money than brains. Which is why I think he's a spoiled rich kid/ trust fund baby.

Bet his cell mate "big bubba" will own him.

The last one is my favourite, fantastic car, ruined with a horrible graphic down the side and the numpty owner can't even select drive

I'm not sure how officers are treated where you are, but in New York City, one stops when the cop says to stop. Deliberatly running into an officer can be charged as attempted murder with a deadly weapon. The idiot got off easy.

Same the world over, whether you"re in the right or wrong, you're asking for trouble if you don't listen & follow what is to most people reasonable instructions from a cop

As for the other vid... Ouch...

I was amused by the slogan on the door of the police car that the Ferrari driver was put in to:

  • Courtesy
  • Professionalism
  • Respect
Yes, the driver was an idiot (especially when dealing with NY's finest), but I wonder if the reaction would have been the same if he had been driving something a bit less ostentatious?
