Sept. 11th - 3s and 4s in the Beacons.

Hi all, well not long now to our drive over the beacons I have asked for the same sunny conditions as last year! :)
As said lets meet up at 9am at the Sarn services, CF32 9SY junction 36. where we have access to fuel and a coffee can be had before setting off at 9:30 sharp.
I did another run around the route today and noticed that the after lunch return drive some roads had slightly flooded area's so I have changed from that run now to more accessible roads back! Bit shorter but that may be better for the longer travellers.

Usual courtesy applies, will you all keep the driver behind you in sight, if they drop out of view please slow up to wait and if we turn a corner hold back until they catch up so they see you turn and don't get lost!!
I have planned a wc stop along the way and another pub stop at about 12ish. there will also be a few photo pauses along the way!
After that we will be heading back and it should all be over by about 2:30 for your home runs. :thumbsup:

We should be about 10 cars. For the two cars meeting us we will be down the bottom of the Rhigos road about 10:15 ish. so if your
traveling from the Heads of Valley's when at the roundabout at the bottom of the Rhigos go straight across toward Hirwaun and pull up
to wait for us! :driving:

Did the beula to Tregaron road over the mountains s in the summer. That's pretty epic.
 
What route are you all taking on Sunday?

Myself and another member (RickyG) will be in the Brecons on Sunday morning taking the route in the link below. We would be around Blych/Llangorse at around 10-11. Would be good to meet up with you all for a bit.

Hi Phil. Our route is further west but we will be in Brecon town by about 12:30ish and parking up for a cuppa by the Brecon Promenade
overlooking the river if that helps. Will be there for an hour!

Hi Phil.
The road is called Fenni-Fach Rd. car park, which leads to the Promenade overlooking the river. :thumbsup:
 
I just hope the car park in the promenade is not too busy....being a sunday.. and if the weather is good.... i know they do sometimes open up the car park up the road a little by the toilet block... it would be good if we can all get in a car park together....especially for a photoshoot...

Change of plans for me unfortunately thanks to work, I have to go to Middlesborough and back on Saturday late afternoon so looks like I will have to be relegated to a "maybe" ...

Planned route is from Bridgend up and over the Bwlch and Rhigos like last year but at the bottom instead of over right we go left for Glynneath and then toward the show caves, on to Sennybridge and then Trecastle, up over the MOD range (opposite end to last year)
then LLangammarch Wells, taking the road back over the MOD range opposite end, and down to Upper Chapel, Lower Chapel and into
Brecon. (Coffee and Pee stop in Sennybridge) (Lunch stop in Brecon)
Would like a drive through Brecon town centre after lunch, (Show off our machines) then take bypass road back to meet A470 over
beacons to Penderyn, park up outside the distillery, (The welsh whiskey shop is open and expecting us) Then say so long to everyone
and make our way home from there! Think that will be about half two ish. depending on pace, :evil: Photo stops along the way ofcourse!

looking forward to it also... did my seat bushings tonight drivers side and had a bit of trouble getting the seat to move.. but seems to be ok now...started to panic and thought i not going to sort it in time for sunday......

if weather is looking remotely dodgy for sunday me and Ang.. my other half may decide to go out tomorrow night saturday, its here birthday tomorrow.... so if we dont make the Rhigos... Sore heads etc we definitely be at Brecon Prom... about 12.30

Its a fair old run from rhigos to dan-yr- og-of caves...and brecon over the mountain upper chapel.lower chaper etc... .. nice run though, just hope you not going to fast a pace as my little ol' 1.9 wont keep up with you big z4s, i have to play catch up... not been to the distillery before so that be good too....

see you Bottom RHigos 10.15 i TXT you zed wheels to see roughly where you are when we get there so we now how long we be waiting..

PS. The old Severn Bridge will be closed on Sunday AM, but only Eastbound (in to England)

I would meet you both at junction 32 services but junction 30 would mean doubling back for me.
