Seat splitter fitted yea or nay

I used to have one on my old Ibiza and probably replaced it 2/3 times as I'd slice it off on kerbs :-(. I "might" still have a new, unopened spare splitter for the LCR in my garage if someone wants..? With postage it might work out the same as buying from a dealer...?

I'd probably be interested in that next week?

Sure thing. It was in storage in my parents house, you are welcome to it. Let me check it's there. PM me your location and a price and we'll see if we can sort something out..?

I know its been done before but I think it sits well on the face lift bumper , and only £48 8-)

right.. so I got one of these sitting in my front room.
Just slung it up under the bumper, and it's a good few inches short width-wise.
I've doublechecked the part numbers and it's the right part.

So what gives?
some secret knack?

Yes mine was short to but it will bend!!
First of all you need to cut down the 2 centre fins about 15 mm, i cut mine too short so be careful, when you have done that you will need to find the centre point of your bumper and of the splitter.
When you've got it lined up you can use self tappers to screw directly into your bumper i only used 6, 2 just out from the low point on the first tabs at the front 2 on the corners and then the last 2 at the back of the bumper, if you've got it all lined up right it will bend slightly and fit the curves of the bumper, you will also need to cut off the excess as it is too long.
All a bit of a fiddle but worth it in the end i also managed to do this without taking my bumper off hope this helps

Part no. 1ML 805 903 £49 brand new from seat

They have gone up a bit due to being adaptable to fit quite a few cars, I got one quite a few years ago from seat main dealer for £22 and it fits my Mondeo ST24 spot on did have to take 5mm off each end but looks good

Looks really good mate.

It's one of those mods that looks like it belongs there.

Mine was £22.00 from Seat. I had one on my Fiat Grande Punto Sporting and it looked great - finished it off nicely....

Not sure on the Zed.... perhaps a photo further away where you can see the whole car...

Yea I like that Si looks as if was built for it. I have pre facelift front and am interested to know if it would fit

Great to see people still rocking the LCR splitter! I remember getting my first for £16! Now they're ridiculously priced!
