the sport is overall winner

but don't let that cloud your decision, you are buying the car for yourself, go with your gut feeling

I will be honest with you Taz i was more going towards the SE but this has made me think.

The cost of change is actually slightly more on the SE believe it or not by £500 and there not budging on that. Either way im picking a car this week !

Thanks for your input guys

Good grief! :? Just saw the updated poll figures and the Sport is miles ahead! I was one of the SE voters. The one thing that would swing it for me is the low mileage. Do you have any photos of them? Good luck in deciding!

Another consideration for SE if you are using it as your everyday car is the comfort & hight. I use mine as every day car and have to drive it to visit my clients - often in pot hole heaven & across many speed bumps. 17" wheels should be more comfy and you might risk scraping the under side in 15mm lowered sport (ok, thats not much I suppose but I scraped a bit of my front bumper coming out of our awkward car park when it was snowing - I'd hate to think of the damage had I had Sports).

But agree with the above - Z4 will never be a completely sensible choice daily car, so go with your heart :)

p.s. I might buy Prius as economical run around - its price must be dropping right now!

Does the SE def have 17's? I'd normally go for lower mileage but that would swing it for me, I'd want 18s. If I was buying mine again I'd certainly try the sports seats - SE's aren't supportive enough imo, but the sport ones are v narrow - and I do like xenons. BT is a plus too.

Did you mention colour? It has to be black for me, but some colours are more popular, so better resale.

That hasn't helped, has it? :? Good luck.

Having an SE, I would say that the things that annoy me most about it that I didn't know to look for when I bought it are:

Wheels - 16" star-spokes had to go.

Suspension makes the car sit a bit higher than the Sport looking a bit less aggressive - however this is probably good for speed bumps.

Interior trim - I have painted silver plastic trim, whereas sport models get the brushed alu trim as standard which IMO looks much nicer.

Anthracite Seats - although they are always comfy and warm and don't need the seat warmers like the leather's do. The bi-colour leathers always look amazing when photo's show up on here.

No Cruise
No Bluetooth - hard to retrofit so haven't done it
No M-Sport S/W
No Multi-function S/W
No Xenon lights
