So sat at home last night, chilling in my front room.

Hear a bit of noise outside in my usually quiet street. To see two pissed-up chavs circling my car.

Then one of them launches a brick through the passenger window. So I run out of my front door and they scarper. Strangely the alarm didn't activate.

So I rang the police, giving a description.

20 minutes later, no Police. But i hear voices again. I look out to see one of them trying the glove box (still locked), so i ring the police again (along the lines of hurry up they're back!!). This time they activated the alarm and they legged it again.

5 minutes later the police arrive having caught the shits.

So all in all a pretty crap night. I'm glad they caught them, but part of me is a bit worried they might come back. They did try knocking on a neighbours house (which is nearer the Zed, but no answer). Presumably looking for the keys.

Ive spent all morning with the police forensics having the car powdered, and the rest in autoglass having a new window fitted.

There's still glass everywhere, and my once pristine M-sport seats are looking a bit shabby.

What is wrong with this country. I'm seriously pi••ed off! .

I cant believe the idiots came back....at least the police are helping. Here they whould show up give a case number for the insurance claim and you would never hear from them again....Good luck getting your car back into top shape
 
Sorry to hear this fella. Shame it seems this kind of thing is becoming all too popular. I doubt you were targetted specifically, more likely a couple of crack-heads after something to pinch and sell :thumbsdown: String them all up I say.
 
Feel for you, but if you think that was bad read the below...

My mates mums house was burgled a few weeks back. The police popped back the following morning to take a few more pictures etc, only for them all to hear stretching tyres as the burglars reversed her car off the driveway

The cheeky buggers had nicked the car keys the night before only to return the next day, common practice I know - but to have the balls while police are inside the house and the cop car parked right outside...

Wankers.... Really sorry to hear this .. I live in a quiet street and have just had a new neighbour and her son (15yrs old) move in next door .. Him and his mates were trying the door on my last car so I went outside and asked them what they were doing to which they responded "what the f**k you going to do about it?" at which point a friend of mine had to physically drag me back in the house before I got arrested for beating the crap out of a number of minors... Spoke to the police who said they really couldn't do anything as no damage was done.... The lad in question moved in in sept 2010 since then the police have been round to his house about 40 times I'm not kidding... Iv lived here 17 years and never seen a copper on my road until now... It's got so bad I'm actually considering moving house as the family (mother and son) scream and fight nearly every night till about 3am they've made my life a nightmare and sadly the police say there's not much I can do other than complain to the county council but that then affects me as it will cause problems if I wish to sell... The Z always goes back Into the garage now even if I intend to get it out half an hour later..... Scumbags have no respect for anyone..... Sorry about the rant but people like this as said above should be birched!!!!
 
Sorry to hear your troubles OP, chances are the scumbags in question will be given a free holiday and you will get fined for bothering the police.

Syvee, I am not suggesting you try this, but My Brother had a similar problem to yours, and despite trying to take the legal route and being told as you have there is nothing thay can do, he took matters into his own hands, He poured a gallon petrol through the letter box followed by note stating anymore trouble and the next time he will light it. it solved his problems.
Scumbags like that are not scared of the police etc, what they are scared of is bigger arseholes than them.

I'd kill them myself if I had a shotgun and think nothing of it....any trespassers on my property, criminal activity occurring, I'm all out for protecting what's mine..

Really? Or just tough talking? I love my car but killing someone over it? Cant see that happening. I also doubt you would "think nothing of it", if you did theres a word for people who kill without any remorse.

As for all the people who would have a go back, only takes one crack head to stick a knife in you and your dead, over a car that is more than likely insured.

Ive been in a house that was burgled, didnt hear a thing and the burglars were according to the police "professionals". I dont have any property I care that much about that I would risk my life to protect it.
 
You'd be surprised what people would resort to. I have been in a situ where someone was attacked, very close to me and things went too far, and I would do it again. So Richtea, focus on yourself and don't try to put yourself in my head. Not having a pop, but yes maybe a car is a bit extreme, but I was referring to anything which could have an impact on my family too. If a house is burgled, families can get involved, and is not always a question of just taking car keys etc....
 
I can understand it for people, especially family. I just think a car is a stupid reason to kill someone. Its a replaceable bit of metal no matter how much its your P&J.

Defending your home is different again but still cant see the point of killing someone unless they are likely to kill you or harm you etc.
 
In addition if I was the parent of Jamie Bulger, I could easily kill without remorse, and I am sure a lot of people would agree with me. Have you heard what they did to that poor boy?
