I have and it's not a miracle solution. Since you may need to use the included light sandpaper to take the scratch out from the clear coat, then use both polishes to finish...not for the faint of heart! It's only useful if the scratch hasn't reached the paint (clear coat surface only). Anything deeper and I would see a professionnal. Good luck

Cheers, Ive had a look this morning and it is really bad, perhaps even down to the primer
. Ill get a few quotes from the pro's then go from there. Might even keep my eye open for a replacement from the breakers, I saw one on Ebay last night for £50 but it was the wrong side.Thanks for the advice.
I regret to say that you cannot remove deep scratches just by rubbing with a bit of sandpaper (shudder) and a couple of different cutting pastes. Sure it will remove paint left on from other cars may smooth out clearcoat scratches, but once the base paint is exposed it needs repair, be that touch up and clearcoat or professional work.
An alternative for small chips that many have used with success (inc. me) is the http://www.langka.com/ where in essence you touch up the scratch with normal BMW paint and then smooth out the resulting repair prior to normal polishing and waxing. Again designed for small damage not deep or long scratches.

I have used the Langka repair kit and had good and some bad results. If you have used the BMW touch up paint and there is a blob left on the surface. The kit will take the blob down and theoretically leave paint in the chip or scratch. However I have found that if your finish is metallic, when you use the blob remover to get the touch up paint blob off the metallic part of the paint is on top of the repaired scratch and it goes away leaving only the base part of the paint. The scratch is filled but as it is now not metallic, you can still see it. There are other techniques for applying the product but I was not completely satisfied with the results. My wife’s car does not have metallic paint and it worked very well there. Small chips look better but long scratches are another story on metallic paint.
On the other product talked about here, I am wondering. According to Consumer Reports it worked on scratch on the paint through the clear coat. I was going to get some after seeing the demonstration on the video. Are you all saying that scratches to the paint are not repaired? I was going to buy a kit, but if those of you who have used it say it does not work on scratches to the actual paint, I will save my money.
