Dirty bastards. That really grinds my gears. Spineless cnuts!!! :x :x :x :x

that is awful. where was it parked? i tend to park far away in public car parks so nobody is near me. private work car park with cctv whilst at work. i went to braehead a few weeks back and some woman thought it would be okay to throw her mcflurry out her car window right onto a mini cooper parked beside her then drove off as melting ice cream dripped down all over it. a few weeks before that at asda i saw a woman trying to park and scraped her car along another one, her and her daughter sitting in the car laughing as i looked on in horror. she knew she was scraping the car and just kept going until she got into a position where she couldn't reverse without causing more damage and she couldn't get out the car. i've had a previous car keyed before and i know who done it too but had no proof so i had to basically pretend it never happened. hopefully karma gets them.

the first week i got mine someone dinged it right beside me at work. check the car every time before i get into it and i did so that time but didn't notice it because it was on the wing mirror until i got home and checked again by then i couldn't remember the colour of the car never mind make, model, etc.

you going to get a smart repair? i've been thinking of getting mine wrapped just to freshen it up a bit and to then not be so anal about dings, etc. plus cheaper and easier to repair i imagine.

Thanks guys, I am hoping to get the car fixed prior to the meet so that I can still make it, been looking forward to this for ages!

Thankfully I have CCTV at my home, it caught the person doing it and I am 99% sure I have identified the person who done it which has been passed to the police, they are also happy with the ID and intend on charging him tomorrow, hopefully when that goes through I can recoup all the costs I have and will incur! If not then....... :violent1: :chophead: :chairfight:

What a great result that this tosser is getting was is due to them

I am sure this doesn't happen in the majority of cases.

Looking forward to the meet as well and meeting you and others.

someone you know personally or a disgruntled neighbor / local idiot?

your cctv has just paid for itself right there. it's mind boggling though someone would do this at someones home they went out of their way to come onto your property to do it. i would like to ask them personally why? it beggars belief I hope no-one ever has to go through what you have.

you can still make the meet, the cars still mechanically sound.

Electrical steering has failed on my z4 e85.

Been quoted around £2100 for the part alone. Only had the car around a month or so.

part number is 32306780730

but from what the breaker has told me installing new version of this part on older cars causes sticky steering issues.

you need the original one, which I have managed to source from a breaker.
