Scotland 2013/14 Meets List - needs a new owner for 2015

Bit surprised we can't find someone for this , I was hoping by laying down the baton we get some renewed interest in Scottish Zed Meets .

what you have been doing in the north east has been admirable Paul ... pity if what was one of the most busy regions/countries for meets becomes one of the quietest again after a11y relaunched it in 2010 after a few quiet years.

HB-> suggest when we finally get relaunched we get you added in the above list

Steph and I met a11y at the pre Skye meal last year - had a chance to talk through some of the history of the forum and got a real sense of how the Scottish region was so busy - brilliant guy and obviously a big miss.

Hope there is someone out there prepared to give it a go - if anyone is having doubts I would encourage them to give it a try - you'll find it's not quite as daunting a task as you think. Everyone that's turned up for our runs has been supportive and appreciative. Doesn't have to be a big commitment, just being prepared to step forward is how it starts. We now have a close group who we rely on for our NE runs - cracking people all of them and only met through organising runs.

So, if your considering it have a go . . . .

:driving:

He's too busy this year - though we might see him on a couple of meets. He's got a lovely lady to make an honest woman of, and planning that is going to pretty much ruin his life for quite some time... Not after though - after the wedding it's all rose petals and goosedown pillows, life is a walk in the park. Honest

 Was the Mrs looking over your shoulder when you wrote that Bing old chap

My best get-out-of-the-house-card was when I took my son on the trips, one less to look after at home so had carte blanche for 10 years doing that :D

Will do at least one mainland Europe trip this year, done nothing with overnight stays for a few years now.

I don't mind organising a few meets, having been on a bunch of great ones in the last few years hopefully I've absorbed enough to be able to do a decent job myself! I have a few initial route ideas and a bit more time now I'm not commuting 2 hours a day anymore :), but am determined to get away on holiday a bit more this year.

How about a rough calendar to get us started?

When it's all been launched again I will stick my name on the list for possible run outs in southern Scotland!

That's fantastic news Andrew - nice one

You've shown great commitment and it's been brilliant to see you at NE runs as well as the Scottish ones in the past.

You can count on me and Steph getting up to some of the runs and if you need any support do give us a shout.

. . . We are in good hands folks  :D

(Thanks for seeing this through ZermattV)

:driving:

Well done Andrew - the world loves a volunteer !

I will be happy to help organise some runs - if us P drivers are still permitted to tag along - on our best behaviour ! You ain't getting rid of me that easy.

Good luck Andrew and looking forward to catching up. :driving:

Good move Andrew...I will also be happy to help organise Runs where and when possible. Was thinking about Skye run for August this year, along with Bing? as he did such a good job with the 2014 one :D

PM me if you want to run a few ideas together....we should really try and have a March/April meet at least, to kick it off, and when the weathers improved :driving:

How did I miss this....ANOTHER former z4 owner going over to the Porsche(dark) side, lol.
What is going on Folks....soon we will have no OG z4-owners left, haha.

Oh, did I mention?.......... I just bought a 911-Carrera 4s in Dark Grey. :driving:

Nah, just kidding (almost not though)

so what happened ?

Decided spending 35k after just buying Another house was NOT a good idea, as my z4 is only costing me fuel and maintenance....and it wasn't 35k of debt nicer than my z4m, so will stay put, Rob.

How are you liking yours and hows things mate??

Hopefully you are not too busy with your new 911 forum pals that we will see your new wheels soon into 2015?

Of course but i will be at the back :D - don't worry I'll be out and about in it .

keeping well - know what you mean the M is a fantastic Motor - i just wasn' t getting out in it enough .
