Scotland 2013/14 Meets List - needs a new owner for 2015

Yeah, if I do change, an Atlas Grey 911 c4-s with Porsche red calipers, Bose stereo, sunroof etc. will be top of my list, 2007/2008 Vintage with sensible mileage, circa 25-35k mls, as so many seem to have 70-80k miles-plus!

Right folks, a few ideas and rough calendar below, thoughts welcome and may as well keep the discussion in here with indvidual threads for each run.

late March/April - Pentlands loop
late May - SW Scotland, maybe a Sat and Sun
June/July - suggestions and volunteers welcome
August - Skye/Applecross/NW, then I'm sure we can fit something in before winter strikes

Totally up for August - it's only January and I'm already excited :trampoline: :hooters: :ilz4f: :driving: :happyclap:

August would suit us Andrew for Skye etc (school holiday for Steph)

Steph and I will come up for as many of these runs as we can (dates being ok)

Just a thought. . . .

Maybe we could arrange a Scotland group and NE group meet up on one of the dates? We want to set a run up past Kielder and through to Howick then loop back west and return to Kielder - May or June/July? Or meet up for the Pentlands run?

:driving:

Busy year for you Bing

Indeed, she deserves to be driven  you should come to Scotland in the Beetle... It'll feel right at home

Sounds great Andrew, would love to come back up to Scotland- bringing my zed this time (although I did enjoy driving the Porsche)
Late May sounds our most likely opportunity and a Sat and Sun run would be fab. Be great to catch up again.

Good stuff Andrew - just found this update !

Assuming the odd P car is acceptable - we'll be up for most of these ! Let me know if you want any help with routes etc. -especially southern Scotland - maybe the Dalveen Pass should feature somewhere ! :driving:

My weekends in March are all full now, anyone's welcome to organise a run if they wish, or how about later in April (after Easter)?

Right folks, let's get our first Scottish* run of the year organised, following on from the main discussion thread I'm happy to run a few this year having served my apprenticeship on 3 years worth of excellent and varied runs.

For now, please express your interest (or lack thereof :() and date preference(s) - either April 18th or 19th, or May 2nd or 3rd.

Rough idea is an anti-clockwise loop round the Pentlands, probably starting M8 J3 and finishing back there or somewhere on the Edinburgh bypass for those from the east. Lunch stop on the southern bit of the trip, maybe Carnwath/West Linton/Biggar. I have some good roads locally round Livingston and a provisional route in my head - will scout out the remainder and coffee/photo stops in the meantime.

I'm on holiday next week and will be offline for most of that, hopefully there's a good response by then and we can firm plans up once I'm back.

Cheers,
Andrew

*All welcome of course, even those from darn sarf and those who have defected to other manufacturers :P
