Sat Nav Volume

Using the on screen menu to adjust the volume for the sat nav spoken instructions, she says "LOUDER" and "QUIETER" all at the same volume!

Am I missing a trick here or is something on the blink?
 
it also depends on the audo volume.

I had my audio on min and the sat nav was really quiet... so i put the sat nav volume to max... still quiet... then realised i put the volume down :headbang:
 
Sorted!

Somebody (not me) had changed the SAT Nav + and SAT Nav - values to the same high value ie. the sat nav volume was always going to be louder than any other input source.

A good trick to play if you're feeling a bit evil eh? :evil:
 
sorry to revive an old post... but can you give me some more details here!?

I just picked up my Z4 last weekend and the Sat Nav volume is really loud even when i have the music turned right down... I tried changing the Nav volume but its at its queitest setting right now and still really loud and much louder than the music when i turn the music right down....

very confused.
 
actually I have a similar issue but with traffic info from the radio - is always really loud and dont know how to adjust??
is it something to do with the min- and min+ settings that come up when you press info and get the traffic program menu up?
 
I found that the + Vol and the - Vol settings were set to identical values. On mine they were both sat at +3 Thus when an instruction was give, it was +3 over the radio volume.


If the setting is made +3 and -3 the spoken sat nav volume can be adjusted above and below the radio/ cd volume.


Go and have a fiddle, you can't break it!
 
where are these +vol and -vol settings?? (I have the pro sat nav).

Its not like I'm new to these... my old M3 had the same system and I never got quite so confused trying to set that up as I liked and I had the car for close to 4 years!...

feel a bit dim now!
 
IIRC, adjust the volume up or down using the SW volume buttons when the announcement is being made and that volume will be stored.

The screen that shows TP / RDS / REG ? NAV-Min

Select NAV-Min and press the knob above the MENU button - Then select The NAV -MIn + and dial in the desired Volume between -9 & +9

On the same screen as you set the clock / Date / Language You'll see the Navi Volume - Set the volume there! The lady will tell you in her own gentle way "Louder" or "Quieter"
