Possibly, but loads seem to be tracked a lot even with high miles etc. It is as close as you will get to a race engine after all!

This is why I will have an imola red M - solid colour paint is smoother than metallic, providing less air resistance, and the psychically boosted bhp increase from people believing it's a Ferrari is immense. The colour also makes any driver look like a sex god (or goddess) because of the way the light reflects back in from the bonnet. If you don't believe me just check out pics of Darren in his car compared to his selfies - the transformation is nothing short of miraculous !

Yes maximise enjoyment definitely. But you buy a car to drive it don't you? Not polish it etc So what I am saying is you can't knock the CSL boys for getting out and thrashing their cars around a track. That's what they were designed for!

I like the fact that generally the CSL forums have the attitude that the cars are to be used, tracked, used a dailys even though they are a special addition, and not just kept as garage queens so to speak. That Would be a massive waste!

Who cares what purpose people buy the car for? If somebody buys a car purely as museum piece and only want to enjoy it by looking at it and polishing etc, then neither attitude is "correct to be honest".

Yeah fair enough. If people enjoy that, then fair play.

I just think from an engineering point of view it's a massive waste.

I personally think old cars that get put Into museums or are used as show cars that have some history behind them are much cooler specially showing their battle marks so to speak. For example I would much rather have a use F1 car as a show piece rather than a brand new one. Just my point of view of course.
