So my new DA Polisher arrived, great service from cleanyourcar! Faulty one not gone back yet. Fair play!

Got some good results just did boot and rear three quarters, really happy for my first ever go with a proper machine.

I've used http://cleanyourcar.co.uk/ for most cleaning lotions and potions, polish, waxes etc. Can recommend the Gyeon products and the service from that site always seems to be excellent.

How did this go Sam? I'm still looking around at places to get my 135s refurb'd so would be interested to know.

Well, the refurb was superb and I’m chuffed to bits. I think they’re as good as Lepsoms but not quite got the same customer service. I would recommend them. Get it done.

Pics to follow!

Hi Simon,

Thank you, will put it on the following list... what man doesn't love a list!

Cosmetic

1. Replace number plates as the front is showing wear. I am going to put the original selling dealer name and address under the reg so it looks original.
2. Wheel refurbishment in standard colour... probably use Lepsons unless anyone knows better? Also, replace centre BMW caps as mine are shot.
3. Restore the front light lenses as mine are a little scratched.
4. 3 stage polish body... the front and rear bumpers could do with a re-spray.
5. Stubby aerial.
6. Thankfully the hood is in lovely condition so I will buy a cover for it as the car is parked on the street.
7. Drivers seat bolster has discolouration which I would like to rectify.

Mechanicals
1. Rear brakes are a little squeaky, hoping it is simply down to lack of use... brakes are very strong and car stops in a strait line.
2. There is the most frustrating knocking noise coming from what sounds like in the dash... car feels so tight and good I don't think it is anything sinister but at the weekend will have a poke about.
3. 2019 Service.
4. Grease up break lines.

Modifications
1. Relocate hood motor to boot... any suggestions on someone in the south.
2. Wind breaker.
3. Exhaust mod.
4. Cruise control mod.

Loving the car, its everything I was hoping for, should have done this ages ago! As I said in a previous thread, any advice very much welcome.

Cheers, Sam

Re number 6.....I can highly recommend the 'Coverdale' range of high quality car covers.....available in various grades and some are lockable to help prevent 'loss' !

Cool; did you also replace the center caps? If so did you provide them or did they?

I bought my own cheap £7 ones and they are awesome. I also bought some cheap m sport sticker because they wanted to charge £27 for genuine ones!

I really need to take some pictures! I sorted my number plates too.

Bloody front light washer cover has popped off and disappeared... £47 to replace... yikes!

These things! Never mind. Had a very spirited drive and can confirm on twisty public B roads with a bit of camber, a) I will struggle to get to it’s limits and b) it is a bit twitchy.

Guy on here - Bowser34 I think is his name - done loads of relocations (including mine), based in North Hampshire. You’ll find a long post if you search for roof motor relocation.

Cheers, will get in touch.

Not much to report of late...

Put two front tyres on... Avon’s and very nice too. Got the washer cover sorted and fitted.

Need to fit new front discs and pads as there is lots of braking judder through steering wheel. It’s getting gradually worse. Also, going to remove spacers, want a totally standard car apart from exhaust.

Really enjoying this car, such a lovely thing to drive fast or cruise in.

Evening all, next Wednesday I will be going to Gilberts BMW to have the Eibach springs removed and standard height fitted... the car is soooooo low as an Msport/Eibach combo. Anyone have an opinion on this? If the springs are in good shape anyone fancy buying them?

They will also give the suspension a once over to see if anything needs doing... I doubt it as it feels great and doesn't make any dodgy noises, famous last words lol. At the same time I am also having front discs (Mtec) and pads replaced along with brake fluid.

Next up will be motor relocation, cruise retro fit and exhaust mod. cheers all!

My Carly arrived today so I have just been messing about with that. Great bit of kit, getting the car just how I like it! :D

Also, did the sound gen mod, took out half the foam... the foam in the bulkhead end. Not been for a drive as yet. Very easy to do and revers if needed.

Morning all!

Seeing as my little thread is so exciting and created quite a buzz... :tumbleweed: I thought I would carry on adding to it.

My seats are the sports type and bloody comfy and electric. The leather is blue with the techno material centres. They are in good condition but my drivers booster seat it’s tired. No rips or tears just lightly cracked. So I thought I would re colour that part...

Cleaned them with dr leather then used furniture clinics balm to recolour. Think I went too light and the result isn’t great even with multiple layers.

It got me thinking though, the novelty of the light blue seats has worn off... much like the colour! I thank you. So, I’m going to recolour the a dark blue. In the future I want to get the material parts re trimmed in alcantara with matching handbreak, gear boots and steering wheel.

Some pictures to show the average job.
