Just had the warning light appear for low pressure and after removing the wheel found a 15mm long self tapper ( certain its one of mine that I dropped on the garage floor) firmly embedded in the tyre contact area. Unscrewed the self tapper and deflated the tyre and ordered a replacement RFT from ASDA tyres, about £115.00.
Long story cut short I've had the tyre repaired for £25.00 and feel reasonably confident that all is well and have cancelled the new one.
Am I being too tight or has anyone else done this?
The tyre by the way was almost new, less than 2000 miles.
