As i promised in a earlier post i said i would right a comparison between my new rs4 against my old z4mc. These are just my opinions on these two great cars,
I think as you can see they are both great looking cars and both are a joy to drive,
Both like to rev hard and are very quick cars,
As you will all know the Z4MC and maybe the roadsters as well are a very hard ride which is great when your in the mood for it but a bit tire some when your not, The coupe's are a bit jittery on a quick back road and can slow your pace a lot with traction control light flickering away and brakes getting very noisey and not really inspiring confidence, How ever on the track that hard suspension and ride where just awesome. I have taken lots of cars to the nurburgring (m3, slk amg 55, rs focus, clio v6, and the z4mc) and the coupe was by far the best it was a beast around there, The worst mode i made was fitting the csl's as they made the car even more jittery and even harder ride but my god they looked bloody great and I would never have taken them back of even though they spoilt the ride,
The coupe sounded great on full chat screaming away right next to you and i really liked driving it hard which is the way the car wants to be driven all the time, Its made to go fast and that's where it feels right,
The rs4 is the quickest B road car i have owned or driven (and i have owned some very nice quick cars over the years) The way it just monsters any road is just fantastic but on a fast B road it is just awesome there is not much out there that would keep up with you no matter what the weather rain or shine its makes no difference it feels just the same very planted and secure it just attacks the road and I back of way before the car gives up, The suspension on the audi is very very special (although can be troublesome) i would say with honesty the coupe would not get any where near it on a quick B road, I have not tracked car yet and as my jobs looking a bit dodgy i am not going the ring this year so can not tell what the audi would be like on a track but i think on the fast following ring it would be fantastic but round a small tight track i think the coupe would be pulling away from the rs4, The brakes are just fantastic and just keep doing there job with no noise or fad although as i say no track work yet, The audi can be a nice quite comfy famaly saloon that will do 26mpg on a steady run then press the sport button and the car just changes, valves in the exhaust open the seat wraps around you the throttle map changes and it turns into a monster, It sounds fantasic on full chat, It's a very easy car to drive fast or slow,
Both cars are very special in there own ways and i do miss my coupe (I almost emailed beedub about the coupe he is selling)
Hope this helps anyone interested in buying a rs4, If you want any more info on car just ask,
