Please post photo an description / spec of what you had done
Thank you

20200603_120717.jpg They do a great job! I had mine thickened and they offer mods like a flat bottom! Well worth the money

Perforated sides, thickened to msport sizing with navy blue stitch

Has anyone had there wheel done by Royals and gone for the Alcantara option.

I was looking to just have the sides done in Alcantara and the top/bottom done in leather..

You can talk to them on the phone to discuss your requirements. I am sure they would tell you if there were any issues with what you want to have done. You might have to be patient when phoning but it is worth the wait. Being a small company and being very busy it sometimes takes a while to get hold of someone on the phone or to get an email response. I have recently had my wheel recovered and had a very helpful chat with Jack before having the work done. 😀

I got mine off here in sure second hand so I don't know the exact soec it's been so long. Was an easy job to swap over and then I sold my old one on here too

Sorry if this is a bit of a thread high jack, but it may interest others thinking of a Royals refurb.

I am picking up an X3 for Mrs Boris next week and will likely get the wheel refurbed by royals. I know there is an option for them to send you a stock wheel, if they have one, and you swap over the paddles etc from your existing wheel and send it to them. How difficult is that swap over (like most on here I am neither an idiot nor a mechanic, somewhere in the middle). Not to mention the removal of a steering wheel with airbag?

Key to removal of the airbag is disconnecting the battery for half an hour prior to the removal.

Not sure about the x3 but the z4 was easy with a screwdriver inserted at an angle to release two springs. I'm sure there is a guide on this forum.

I did it during a lunch time whilst working from home.
