Ta, interesting thing about that hill is that its hollow.

It used to be a weapons store for the Royal Navy during the second world war. There are 24 tunnels into the hill with 18 of them having over 3595 sq ft each and 6 over 8105 sq ft each. They are now all privately owned and used for storage. I know where I'm going when the zombie apocalypse arrives!

as long as theres room for your Z down there to stop them climbing all over it haha

Had a bit of time during my lunch so decided to fit my aux cable. Relatively straightforward apart from working out what I needed to unplug and the orientation of the plug to go in. A few trial and errors and she's now working a treat. I have lost my Bluetooth function doing this but then it didn't work with my new android anyway. I'll be waiting for Sk93 to finish his mini computer mod for my Bluetooth.

Great thread and I enjoyed reading it despite the fact that I would never attempt such surgery. I need the owners' handbook to remove the dust covers on the tyres! :P

Will you be attaching your new yellow and blue thingies and black spirals tomorrow, or will be doing something really useful like coming to the Goodwood Breakfast Club?

Haha, no I'm off to Belgium tomorrow and have to work out how to get to Dover without getting stuck in the parking lot that is the M20. We're getting the ferry to Dunkirk so should miss most of the commotion.

Yellow and blue things will be going on in a couple of weeks as I'm just waiting for the rear trailing arm bushes to arrive. These will be purple circle thingys.

I so wish I had a garage, nothing worse than car jobs out in the freezing cold

there is actually, try working on your car at 50+ degrees C… agreed, garage required… (with aircon)

So she's now booked in with TWG Automotive on September 1st to have the B12 kit fitted along with new top mounts (f&r) and new RTABs. Also bought four Asymmetric 2's to go on once full alignment is done. I really can't wait to drive her after all this work!

I've just put those tyres on my Coupe.

It had Bridgestone runflats before which sent shocks through the body so loud it sounded like a mini crash every time. It also wrestled the steering all over the place.

Now it rides like a normal car...

Electric steering still sucks though.

I recently put Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics on the fronts of mine and that was a massive transformation. Should be even better going from run flats.

I really, really can't wait. With these tyres and all of the work carried out underneath the car she should handle like a beast. It's basically a complete new suspension system along with all of the bushes and new tyres. I might be taking the long way to work soon!

Youll love it dude, trust me! My best mate is car mad and has driven my Zed enthusiastically on quite a few occasions and commented on how controllable the car was after the suspension. It's a hoot! :P

Yay, the rear tyres turned up today. Now the Mrs has to put up with four tyres in the dining room for a week.

The car was dropped off at TWG on Friday and looked to be in good company with more E46 m3's than I could count and one tasty looking E30 track weapon. Didn't have long to chat to Will but the small time I did was enough to put me at ease that he knows exactly what he's doing. I will hopefully be picking it up on Friday (unless he finds any gremlins) and will report back soon. Can't wait is an understatement. I just know this week is going to go so slowly!

TODAY IS COLLECTION DAY!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I don't think I've been this excited about collecting a car from a garage before. Obviously I'll need to drive 200 odd miles to scrub the tyres in but after tha I'll be in heaven..  :roundel: :trampoline: :crazydude: :crazydude:
