Work started on the rear anti roll bar last night. Its unfinished as of yet but I hope to complete the job later.
The car was put up on the stands again (it’s becoming a familiar sight atm).
It’s for all these goodies to go on. Superpro anti roll bar bushes, Meyle drop links, new brackets and new bolts all round.
Look away now if your of a nervous disposition! Look at the rust on the current brackets. JE will not like the look of this!
I’ve now got all of the parts off and will get it back together tonight. I think I’m going to paint the mounting bracket in this picture to keep it all nice and clean. I only have blue calliper paint but that’ll do.
While I was down there as it were I also took these pictures…
A cheeky spring showing a lot of corrosion. Don’t worry this is coming off if about two weeks once the B12 kit arrives.
The state of this shock isn’t much better either! Bump stops have disintegrated and the dust boot, well, not really working.
This is the sly weld I’ve had on the exhaust to remedy the classic broken hanger situation.
And finally, it is most important when working in this heat that you keep yourself suitably refreshed and hydrated. Stella is a good working partner here.
I’ll update with some more pictures later……
