Roundel problems !@#$

Are you sure some "@&%$" wasn't trying to peel off a little souvenir of your Z while you were in the gym?
Just does not seem that such extensive delamination whould have taken place all at one time (without a little help)
Sorry

Anyone had this issue? Is there an bulletin on this? My car just rolled over 50k so i am out of the warranty and I have a trip to FL tomorrow, so now i have to drive my car with and ugly badge.

I've got a similar problem with the paint of the B peeling/peeled off, so it's now white rather than silver. Is this something that BMW might replace gratis or am dreaming?

if its under the original 3yr manufacturers warranty BMW will change it for you, if not probably be easier to buy a new roundal from eBay.. they are pretty cheap and easy to replace.

Reading matter for others with this problem..

Small question for anyone that has changed the side roundels. The badge I have taken off has a metal backing, and the BMW is not raised. The badge I am replacing it with has a plastic backing and the BMW markings are raised. Both have the correct parts number stamped on the back.
Should I be worried that I have a fake item? To the naked eye the new one doesn't look like a fake, if it is it's a bloody good one :x

I wouldnt be worried, people buy badges off ebay etc etc all the time.

FYI the front badge is easy to remove by taking the front grilles out. grab the grille from the bottom, lift up a touch and pull towards you..they just pop out. (not tryin to teach you to suck eggs).

oh and i stuck my CF badges on with silicone and it works a treat, as many others have, as opposed to the 3m pads from the dealer

Thanks, but I'm all ready to stick the new one on and replace, but I'm concerned it's a fake.

With the risk of talking to myself here  , I've phoned BMW and they say the new roundels are plastic backed and embossed, so I'm off out to fit it now :)

:o flimper your car won't work properly with that fake badge on now, it will be a death trap. :poke:

Could still be fake you know
