Both internal & key fob buttons need to be held continuously from the start to the finish of the opening of the roof. The same applies to the internal button for closing the roof.

There are software modifications - for closing with the key, for example - but the standard is as above.

With mine, a mid year 2014, I find that if the battery is not fully charged, the roof can be reluctant to open on the key fob. From the car it will open, it could be that the battery has declined.

Good luck.

I take it you mean the keyfob battery?

No I assumed it was the car main battery, as following a good run in the car, the roof opened fine from the fob. The roof struggling to open seemed to coincide with a low battery warning on the screen.

Having said that I suppose it could be the fob battery, which is charged from the car anyway I believe.

Not entirely certain I'm afraid.

It's the car battery. If its not charged enough it wont open via the remote. Weirdly I think it will open from the console switch but I always start the car before I open it anyway so on that point I'm not so sure!

That could describe the hall sensor issue mine had, press and hold button, roof opens 75% of the way then stops. Press and hold again, roof finished opening. Same for closing.

I remember seeing in my owners handbook (2009 model) it says to protect the battery, the roof should be operated with the engine running wherever possible. After reading that I always jump in and start it up first.
