So heres the scenario....
1st day I had to go into the office since when the lockdown started.
Sunny morning, vintage roof down weather and 13 mile drive on twisty country roads.
Get in car, buckle up and start engine. Press roof open button, boot raises backwards, both roof sections retract into the boot then the boot...doesn't come down!
Then I pressed the close button, the two roof sections return to normal position and the boot closes.
At first I thought it was because I'd parked my car forwards on the drive, so the rear end was slanting down, so when I got to some level road I pulled over and tried again. Same thing happened.
Came home tonight, tried again and same thing. So when the boot was up and roof in the boot I got out and pushed the roof sections about a little bit, I didn't realise there would be any movement, but there is a little.
Tried it again and its ok now. Opened/closed it about 4 times in a row, faultless each time.
Any ideas? I don't have a code reader and this is the first time its happened but a bit concerned. As the boot up/down operation was fine I'm wondering if its a sensor not detecting the roof sections were fully retracted? Or could it be something stiff due to being parked up for a while?
I guess time will tell but now my ar$e will clench each time I use it.
I also noticed one of the luggage cover connection bits (the black plastic bits that hold the luggage cover to the metal bar) came loose last week (the bottom fell off) and I've seen people fix it with bolts. How do I take it out?
Is it a case of undoing these bolts and sliding it out?

Any advice would be appreciated as I don't want the other side to break.
